But I'll explain it, in the world of fanfiction, hanahaki is a disease caused by unrequited love, aka a REALLY BAD CRUSH, like Marinette crushing on Adrien before the New York Special Crush. The victim will end up coughing up flowers, sometimes even blood. The flowers cause your lungs to feel like their, crumbling. The victim will most likely die, within about a month. It can be cured IF they either get surgery which causes the love for the person to die, or they never love again. They 2nd way is if they confess before hey ultimatley DIE.
