It was just something about her so intriguing that I couldn't help it, I had to talk to her. She was different, she wasn't like the average girl, it must have been the eyes. They might have just been plain chocolate brown eyes but something was hidden behind them, something I had to know it was as if my whole life had been leading up to that day when I first saw her. The smell of vanilla filled my senses, her long legs walking across the sand and her small toes wiggling in the sand. Her laugh made my insides warm, her smile made me forget all the problems in my life; Delilah made me forget about her. Delilah is the exact opposite, brown hair, brown eyes, short, and she made me feel normal like I use to be. I was hooked on her from the minute I saw her, I have no idea why but I was and I still am.
The air was cold, a slight breeze making goosebumps form on my pale skin. I should have brought a jacket, I looked to the ocean to see the sun setting as if it was sitting on the water. I looked across from me to see Kelsey hugging her boyfriend as they whispered quiet words to each other.
"Delilah?" I turned my head to see Liam, Niall's friend asked and I nodded at him to continue.
"Are you seeing anyone?" I watched him with wide eyes as he fixed his hair as the wind messed it up.
"Um, no I'm not," I stuttered as I pushed my hair off of my face. "Why?"
"No reason," Liam replied as he nudged the man next to him.
I haven't seen the face of the man next to Liam, his head has hung low this entire evening. I wonder what is up with him, I watched the man next to Liam, you could just see the outline of his long brown curly hair and the small light coming from the end of his cigarette. I shook my head and looked over at Kelsey who was smirking at me and I rolled my eyes at her, the black haired boy, Zayn, place another piece of wood on the bonfire. The small flames swallowed the piece of wood immediately and I watched the flames until I felt something staring at me. I looked up and saw Kelsey eating Niall's face off, Zayn and Liam in a quiet conversation and I then look at the quiet one to see his eyes staring right back at me, I awkwardly looked away. It was silent for a bit, the only sound you could hear was the crackling from the fire.
"How about we play the classic game of truth or dare?" Liam suggested and I looked at him and nodded, what harm could it do?
Soon enough we all sat close together and I watched as Kelsey squeezed herself between Liam and I and she wrapped her arms around me. As I laughed at her I looked around at everyone to see the quiet one staring, no more of a glare, at me and I quickly looked away too uncomfortable to continue joking around with Kelsey. Why he is glaring at me? It's not like I've done anything, right? I shook the thoughts out of my mind and focused on what Liam was saying.
"If you cannot complete the truth or dare you have to go for a swim, not too harsh alright," He paused licking his lips. "Oh, and you have to take two shots of any alcohol beverage the rest of us decide, and while we're on the subject of alcohol, anyone want a drink, Harry?"
I looked over at the quiet one as his head rose, he looked over at Liam as he shook his head and looked back down at his fingers. Harry. I watched as Kelsey poured something into a red cup and handed it to me.
"What is it?" I asked smelling the liquid and scrunching up my nose in disgust.
"Alcohol, what else?" Kelsey replied laughing as I shrugged my shoulders and took a sip of the strong liquid.
I felt the alcohol burn my throat as I swallowed it and I closed my eyes as I shook my head, I could hear Kelsey laughing at me but I didn't mind. We continued playing truth and dare, mostly involving Liam skinny dipping and Niall answering questions about Kelsey.
