One day the founder of Roblox was walking down the street, he was very sad as he was not making any money from his new game "Roblox", he then thought to himself:
"What if Roblox had it's own currency, which players could buy with real money, and players could use that currency to buy things in the game!"
And so, he got to work.
All night he was trying to come up with a name for the currency, first he thought the name would be rebex, then he thought it would be rabax then he thought it should be elon musk. But he scrapped all those name ideas. He was frustrated but very tired. He fell asleep.
David then woke up the next morning and stubbed his toe and yelled "ROBUX!!" in pain.
That word, he liked that word so much that he decided to name the currency Robux.
