The sound of my alarm woke me up out of my nightmare. I've had the same nightmare every night for the past two years.Would you really call it a nightmare though when it's your reality.
I walked to my mirror and looked at my face.
"Shit." I grabbed the foundation from my drawer and sat down at my vanity to cover the bruise my mom left.
It didn't take me long to do that it has gotten easier to do over the years.
Once I put everything away I grabbed my hoodie to cover up my arms and grabbed my shower bag.
"You up?" I walked into my sisters room to make sure she had her bag ready.
"Mhmm." she had her book bag on her back and her shower bag in her hands.
"Let's head out." we walked out of her room and saw my mom sleep in the living room. The bottle from last night was empty.
I shook my head not really caring anymore and walked outside to my car. We got in and continued the rest of my boyfriend Brents album. (Let me stop😂)
I pulled into my aunt and uncle's driveway and took the keys out of the car. We got out and walked to the front door knowing they would be up this morning.
I knocked on the door and my Uncle opened it.
"I don't want no girl scout cookies." he sipped his coffee.
"Your ugly." Baby pushed pass him into the house
"Come in my favorite niece." he looked back at Baby and stuck his tongue out and opened the door for me to walk in.
As I walked into the house the smell of vanilla and bacon made me remember how hungry I was.
"Hey auntie." I walked into the kitchen and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey baby how you doing." she added eggs to the vanilla and sugar mixture she had in a bowl.
"I'm doing okay." I turned around hearing Nina come down the stairs.
"Baby just got in the shower you can go after her I already washed." she came and hugged me then sat at the kitchen island.
