I stuffed my phone into my back pocket I grab my book bag and slip the straps on my shoulder I tip toed down stairs trying not to wake up my dad I let out a deep breath,"ugh thank god I didn't wake him up..."I said leaning my head back in relief
I grab my phone and ear plugs I turned on some music and put the ear plugs in my ear I nod my head to the beat of the music and hum lowly
Suddenly I was pushed to the ground I put my hands out in front of me to catch myself from getting badly injured
"Shss..."I hissed in pain as my hands scraped across the concrete I took one of my ear plugs out of my ear
I looked over to see Barb glaring at me, "I called you about five fucking times!"she said grabbing my hair and pulling it up making me stand "l-I'm sorry I-I had ear plugs in....."I stuttered
I don't give a fuck!"she said getting closer to me she smacked my face I put my hand to where she had hit me and rub that spot
"God...let's get to school idot" she said gripping my hand pulling me with her I hated being with her she was very mean

I opened my locker and grabbed my books after Barb went to her locker I felt a tap on my shoulder
"hey are you poppy?I heard a female voice ask
I turned around and smiled Usually no one talks to me what a first! I thought
"Yes" I said, "uh....well I was won-"she started before a body blocked me from her view
Bending over to meet eye with the girl "well she-"the girl started but was once again stopped by Barb
"Don't talk to her again!"Barb growled my mouth gasped open "wait....wait I want to be her frie-"I said but was cut off with a slap
"SHUT UP YOU WILL NEVER GONNA HAVE FRIENDS YOU JUST A STUPID UGLY SLUT!"
she shouted her eyes darkened mostly everyone started to laugh I looked down tears rolling down my cheeks my hair covered my face
I heard my teacher get closer to me he pushed my hair out of my face revealing my redden face
His face turned into a scowl "what happened?,and you better not lie to me!"he said
I nod my head,"I was humiliated I said "what had she done?"he asked
"Barb, she called me names in front of everyone they started laughing at me "I said more tears streaming down my cheeks

As the class was reading a few pages that we were assigned to do my teacher silently tapped my shoulder I turned to see him handing me a piece of paper
"I handled it for ya, she'll get a week of suspension "he said smiling down at me I looked at him with a grin "Thank you"i said to him before heading away for lunch with the other's

Class went by fast we were now at lunch I grab a plate and went to my table I took a bite of my food someone sat there plate in front of me I looked up from my food to see the girl from earlier
I smiled,she smiled back, I was gonna tell you my name until she came,my name is val thunderstock"she said smiling
Well you already know who I am so there is no point of me introducing myself "I said giggling lightly
"Yeah I was wondering if we could like....hang out one day?she said shyly "sure how about tomorrow?"I asked yeah.... yeah sure"she said grinning

My hands clutched onto the straps of my book bag I looked at my phone scrolling
"Poppy, I heard Barb shout I flinched why did I have to live so close to her my hands clutched harder on my straps a hand wrapped around my neck pushed me down the concrete
"What did I tell you about Ignoring me! she shouted at me "I-I'm sorry" I stuttered I-I don't CARE!
she mocked my strutting I looked down at my lap and let a few tears leave my eyes
She stared angrily at her paper kicking me in my side "Do you know who got me kicked out!"
I whimmerd and shocked my head no"urg...I bet it was that stupid bitch val! Barb growled
it wasn't I said quickly I couldn't get her hurt I just couldn't risk it I sighed and told her
"I promise it wasn't her "I said looking at her she huffed fine but when I find out who did it I am going to kill them because-"she stopped herself knowing that I was the one who told I was scared
What if she finds out I am the one who told!? She is gonna hurt me! I thought worry building up in my chest

"Poppy get your ass back here!she shouted chasing after me I opened the front door of my house and shut it I sigh and lean against the door I sighed in relief walking upstairs in my room to rest thinking
