I wake up and find myself at my desk.

"What the.. ah, right.. my assignment..", I groan and check the time. Almost 10 AM. 

I grab my phone to see a missed call from Corpse and a few messages. I check Discord to see what he wrote.

CORPSE: oi wake up 

CORPSE: pls lets call

CORPSE: wait i sound so clingy right now

Y/u: Goodmorning, sorry i was sleepin

CORPSE: figured,,

I almost reply when he calls me. I pick up.

❦ ════ •⊰❂ × ❂⊱• ════ ❦

"Hi Corpse!", I get up from my chair and head downstairs for some food.

"Hey. I was waiting for a while, yknow.", he says with his deep ass morning voice.

"Ah.. sorry. I fell asleep while doing my assignment. I finished it so no need to worry. How are you doing?", I ask, grabbing some leftover spaghetti from the fridge and popping it into the microwave.

"I could definitely be better, but what else is new.", he yawns.

"You wanna play later? I think we could get a lobby together.", the microwave beeps and I grab the spaghetti.

"Sure, I haven't played in a bit. It's Valentine's day tomorrow. Spending it alone like always.", he replies and hums softly.

"Same here, always the same, lonely shit while my friends are out with their boyfriends.. except for Rae haha.", I grab a fork and start eating, "Have you eaten yet?"

"No, I haven't. You wanna just chill on Valentine's? If we're both free then, then why not, right?", he asks.

"Yea, we could do that. Also, you should go eat, eating is important ya know!"

He chuckles,"Yeah yeah, I will, don't worry about it."

"I have a question, would you like to meet up sometime in the future?", I ask.

"..depends if my anxiety and insecurities will let me..", he replies.

"That's totally understandable! Always make sure you're comfortable before doing anything. It's also fine if you just don't want to.", I answer, wiping some sauce off of the table.

"It's not that I don't want to.."

"Yeah, I understand, you don't have to explain it."

❦ ════ •⊰❂ Corpse's POV ❂⊱• ════ ❦

I want to meet her, I just don't know if I can.. What if she doesn't like me in real life? Let's be real, I shouldn't think so lowly of myself but I can't help it.

 All these doubts just.. argh.. they hold me captive from meeting people. No matter how much she reassures me how much she knows how I feel, the voices in my head talk down on me whenever I feel the slightest bit of confidence.

 It's always shit like:'oh she probably only likes you because of your voice'.

 Is there really nothing more to me than my voice?

 No, there's plenty more than just my voice. I.. should stop thinking about wether she likes me or not. Nothing's ever gonna develop either way.

Ah, right. I wanted to go to Rae's place today. I should leave soon.

❦ ════ •⊰❂ Y/n's POV ❂⊱• ════ ❦ 

"Oh, I should get going. Rae wanted me to come over at 11.. sorry, Corpse! I promise we can talk more later.", I wash the dishes quickly.

"Okay. Talk to you later.", he hangs up.

I finish washing the dishes and run upstairs to get changed. Afterwards, I run back downstairs grabbing a backpack and my jacket. I head out the door, lock it and go to the nearest bus stop. 

A bus arrives shortly after and I get on, looking out of the window for the entirety of the ride.

When I finally arrive, I run towards her house. I ring the doorbell, out of breath.

She opens the door,"Y/n! You're like five minutes late.", she chuckles.

"Yeah, sorry, I lost track of time.", I see a figure standing up from the couch.

I step into her house and see a tall ass guy. He looks at me nervously.

"Uh.. hey..", he says.. with a.. familiar voice.

"..Corpse?", I immediately ask.

"..ah, yeah.. nice to meet you ha..", he replies. He's very shy.

Rae is in the kitchen, cooking something I think.

"Nice to meet you too, this is very sudden though, are you comfortable with this?", I ask.

"..Yeah, I'm fine with this..", he smiles and sits down on the couch.

Rae comes back to the living room.

"Here's some cookies~ hopefully we'll all get along, yea?", she smiles and sits down and I do too.

We talk, laugh and eat for at least 2 hours.
