Y/n POV:
Being the new girl in town isn't always ideal, but at least I can get a fresh, new start. "Hey mom, you need any more help bringing stuff in?" I asked. "Oh no, sweetheart, you can go walk around the neighborhood and maybe make some new friends" she beamed. I walked out the door with a sense of hope.
3rd Person POV:
Y/n soon reached the neighborhood's exit, and saw a small town up ahead. Y/n was curious on what it had to offer. 'Thank goodness I brought some money; I'm thirsty' Y/n said to herself. She stopped in front of a neat little pharmacy that sold 5 cent sodas. She went inside to purchase one, but got distracted by a blonde boy that caught her eye. 'He's cute, but he doesn't seem like the kind of guy that wants a girlfriend' Y/n thought to herself. Somehow, she got the courage to approach him and talk to him. She tapped his shoulder, he turned around, indifferent at first, and then with wide eyes. 'Woah! I've never seen her around here before, she's pretty' he thought to himself. "Um, hi, I'm Y/n....I'm new here" Y/n said. "David. You know, if you want, I could show you around town and maybe we could play some baseball at the Sandlot together" "Ooh! The Sandlot?" Y/n asked. "Oh yeah! My friends and I play there all the time. Wanna check it out?" He asked. "Sure!" Y/n exclaimed.
