Cuphead Oneshots!

|Cagney's confrontation!|

(This is my first time writing something here, so it might be bad.)

Cuphead and Mugman stumble upon the field of flowers again, the Place they had taken Cagney's soul.

"Do you think He will even want us back here?!" Mugman asked Cuphead.

"If he doesn't, we'll just have to beat him again!" Cuphead replied as the brothers headed into the field of flowers.

It looked pretty normal as if Cagney had never been there, with the flowers and great trees. Cuphead and Mugman were searching for the living flower.

10 minutes later..

"Cuphead, We still haven't found him!" Mugman said, turning behind him to look at Cuphead, but he wasn't there. "Cuphead, Where are you?!"

Suddenly, a root sprouted from the ground, which caught Mugman off guard.

"Ah!!" He shrieked in fear, as he shot his peashooter, frightened. (I like to think of Mugman like Luigi.)

"We meet again, Mugman!" A sudden voice entered his ears. He noticed that voice.

"Cagney?!" Mugman shrieked as he turned again to see the very grumpy flower and Cuphead, being constricted in his sharp vines, "What are you doing to Cuphead? let him go!"

"Why did you come back to this flowery field, Both of you?!" Cagney said, looking quite mad.

"Turns out we never actually got your soul, so now we need to actually get it," Cuphead said, still being constricted with the vines

"That good for nothing devil and his cup looking slaves!!" He said to himself, tightening the vines, squishing Cuphead some more.

"Actually, we are cups sir-" That was the last Mugman could say before Cagney had withdrawn his face.

"Mugman watch out!" Cuphead shrieked as Mugman stepped onto one of the piranha plant looking floating platforms.

"Take this Mugman!!!" Cagney's face retracted and stretched out far onto the ground. luckily Mugman had dodged it by being on the platform.

"We need your soul, Cagney." Mugman said as he shot his peashooter at Cagney,  "We can do this the easy way or the hard way!"

"Then let's do this the HARD way!" Cagney said, turning his face into something that looked like a Gatling gun as his arm span the handle around, shooting seeds from the air which dropped down.

"Mugman be carefu- OUCH!" Cuphead said as cagney tightened the vines again. Mugman dodges the dropping seeds.

"Haha! that seed dropping was a horrible move." Mugman said, feeling cocky.

"Think again, fool!" Cagney grinned as all the seeds fell into the dirt and out came a ton of vines, releasing mini black and yellow piranha plants, some floating green plants with chomping mouthves and a flying orange (?) plant that flew in the air.

"No way! There are too many plants!!!" Mugman shrieked.

"And we also have a very annoying one who's constricting me..." Cuphead pouted.

Mugman shot the black and yellow plants and almost got attacked by the green chomping ones, but finished them off. "I beat all the seed plan- OUCH!" He said as a pink seed had hit him from the air, "WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?!" he looked up, seeing the flying orange plant. Mugman tried shooting it, but it wasnt dealing any damage.

"Mug man!!!!!" Cagney taunted him as his hands were in a cup shape. when he opened his 2 hands, a boomerang looking plant came flying at him. Mugman easily jumped over it.

"Is that all you've go- OUCH!!" Mugman said as the boomerang plant had hit him.

"Godamn it mugman.." Cuphead sighed.

"Acorn time!" Cagney opened his hands again and 3 acorns came shooting at him. Mugman nimbly dodged all 3.

"Are you tired ye- WHOAH!" Mugman was almost hit by another pink seed; It was the stupid orange flower! Mugman quickly shot it before it went back into his shell, "Alright!"

"That is it! Mugman!!!!" Cagney pulled the sides of his petal, and dipped his hands deep into the ground, freeing cuphead in the process. the ground was then covered in vines, "I WILL DEFEAT YOU!" His eyes turned yellow.

"He's gotten a-angry!!" Cuphead shrieked as he jumped onto the pirhanna platform and held onto it, scared. A vine sprouted from the ground, latching onto the platform Mugman was on, about to engulf it into vines.

"Mugman watch out!" Cuphead said as he grabbed him and threw him to the other platform as the vines engulfed the whole platform and Cuphead Jumped off of it in time, "You need to be observant of the vines, they can latch onto the floating platforms!" He explained.

"Watch out, CUPHEAD!" Cagney said as he 'vomitted' a flower looking thingy out of his mouth, Cuphead didnt jump or duck under it on time, and he got hit.

"Cuphead! Are you ok?!" Mugman asked him.

"Mugman... Where are youuu....." Cuphead got up, looking quite dizzy as he almost fell off the platform, but mugman grabbed him before he could, "It's so.... Wooozy..."

"Hang in there!" He said as he shot his peashooter at cagney.

After a while of dodging the plant thingies, and jumping on different platforms with some quite close calls, the moment finally came...

"Knockout!"

"UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Cagney screamed.

"We beat him! Finally!" Cuphead smiled, "But you did most the work mugman, good job!"

"Thank's cuphead!" Mugman smiled as he walked over to Cagney, who was leaning on the floor, almost lifeless, "Give us your soul cagney, it's over."

"This is not fair... I won't allow... It.." He said, sighing.

"Give it!" Mugman pointed his peashooter at him.

"It.. Isnt fair..." He sighed.

[Flashback]

Cagney was a tiny flower, he danced around like the other flowers, which were full of colour. Cagney, however, was a dull and brightless flower. He always looked around, wondering 'Why can't I be as flashy and beautiful as these flowers?!'

It wasn't long until Cagney had died. His flower was never watered as it was dull. But how did he make the deal with the devil? Well...

When Cagney died, all his seeds were spread everywhere. One of those seeds, however, had a mind of its own. It rolled and rolled and rolled around. It rolled down the hill, through the inkwell isles, rolling everywhere! Until... It reached hell. that's where Cagney made his deal

"Is that a flower seed?!" The devil was confused, looking at a moving seed. "What do you want?!"

The seed leaned back and forth.

"So you're a dull flower who wants revenge on all the other flashy flowers... I'm sure we can do a deal then."

It was not soon after.. Back at the flower field... A giant root sprouted from the sky, and out came cagney, with color and a taste of wrath. Cagney destroyed all of the floers that was near his old dead flower's vicinity. How he was the true floral king.

(This backstory isnt canon, i came up with it myself.)

"And that's why... I dont want to become a dull flower again!" Cagney had explained the story to them.

"Cagney, once we retrieve all of the souls and defeat the devil, I promise You will become a beautiful flower once again!" Cuphead told him.

"R-really!?" Cagney replied in awe. that was when a vine sprouted from the ground, holding his contract.

"Thanks cagney!" Mugman winked at him, and the brothers walked away with cagney's soul. 

Cagney stood there like a dead flower, knowing that sooner or later, they would come back.
