The Levels of Xarnia

Part 10; end of level one

Later that day we decided we were gonna fight the boss tonight. We were all in a small house with the weapons we got from the supply drop, Mathias had an Axe and Silica had a bow. We also got some potions and weird books. The books must do something to our weapons, but don't have a label like the potions. Anyways we decided the boss couldn't be too hard if we got the others from the village to help us. The ones who got weapons agreed and there were even more than before, which was good and bad. Anyways after eating some crops we got from the farm we ran towards the huge door in the mountain, everyone was so excited to start the quest out of here we didn't expect any trouble, yet that is exactly what happened. Along the way we encountered a giant boar. It had a level one symbol in roman numerals next to its name and everyone was frozen and didn't know what to do. I was so raged at the game I ran up to the boar and slit its neck, instantly killing it and leveling me up to level two. Soon everyone maned up and started killing the other enemies along the way. By the time we got to the door everyone was level ten. I looked back at everyone and shouted, "We are getting out of here! We are going to beat this boss and escape!"

Everyone cheered with roars and I turned back to the door. It was about 10 times the size of me and than some. I pushed a button right at the height of my eyesight. The fields rumbled and the door slowly opened inwards, revealing a giant circular stone ground inside with walls surrounding every side. We ran in and the doors closed behind us. Than the center slowly rose up that made a huge pillar  the center of the arena. A health bar appaerad on it saying;
Level one boss, pillar of destruction. Level 5. 55/55 HP.

I couldn't believe it, why was the boss so easy?! Than the boars started coming out of the walls. The pillar was summoning minions! I looked around and shouted orders, "Mathias and Silica! Help me take out the pillar! Everyone else deal with the boars!" I started running towards the pillar and Mathias and Silica followed. I slashed at the pillar and it lost 10 Hp. Silica shot and got 5 Hp out and Mathias swung 20 Hp gone. There was 20 Hp left!!! I quickly, with all my rage slashed it and cut right through it! I dealt 50 damage!!! It blew up and I just stood there, letting the wind of the explosion rush past my ears. I looked back and was mortified to see one of the guys down, bleeding. Others were helping him with potions and I ran over to him. I was almost there when everyone seemed to pass out. I went into the nothingness of sleep and thought to myself that boy is probably gonna die...
