Natsu and Lucy have been married for a few years now but still going on jobs and getting in danger, Lucy doesn't mind but she starts to worry about the future especially since she was expecting a little girl.
One day Gray, Erza, and Natsu went on a job together but only two of them came back with a bloody white scarf. The job was to defend a village from a canis major (yes the constellation) and Natsu went in headfirst. Goes without saying that he didn't win or even seem to survive.
When they gave it to Lucy she broke down in tears into Ersa's arms. Lucy then told everyone why she didn't go on the job even though she would have been the best for it, Gray fell to the floor "he was going to be a dad? He was going to be a dad but.... THAT HOT HEAD!" he started crying "hehe I guess I didn't hate him I just like to butt heads" Juvia came up to Gray "come on ice cube. Nothing can keep him down, I bet it's he's out there looking for his scarf as we speak. Dry those tears, I don't like the rain" she hugged Gray tight as it starts to snow outside.
After that, Lucy left the guild for a while not to have the kid lose her mother. Five months later a beaten, Bruised, filthy Natsu came back to the guild and got tackled with hugs and endless apologies from Gray. Natsu smiled "Did the ice finally freeze your brain? Juvia please stop it's snowing outside and it's localized so I know it's you" Ersa dropped her cake when she heard Natsu and smiled "Natsu? If Lucy didn't leave she would be crying all over. She took your scarf 'cause we all thought you died" Natsu looked at Ersa "Oh? Well I don't need it I guess"
Lucy had a little girl and called her Flare, she told Flare bout all the adventures that her parents went on and gave Flare the scarf

Flare went to the guild cause she wanted adventures and be like her dad and carry on his chaos legacy. When she went in her pink hair and the black lace of her dress blew back from the heat of fighting. She smirked and giggled "Open the gate of the lion. Leo!" she said not holding his key and Leo appeared "Yes Flare? What do you need?" she smiled "Hi Loki. Do me a favour and punch the pink guy for me and mom." Leo goes above and used regulus impact on Natsu. Everyone stops as Natsu goes flying across the guildhall "LUCY?!" he yelled as he landed.
Flare smiled "Not quite. Flare Dragneal! But Lucy is my mother." everyone hugged Flare... Everyone but Natsu that was taking everything in. Flare updated everyone on how Lucy was and explained how she summoned Leo. Natsu went over "You have your mother's eyes. My hair but it was black, blonde or pink so.." he opened his arms and Flare hugged Natsu crying "Me and mom thought you were dead! She gave me your scarf cause I was all of you that remained to her. You really are indestructible." she hugged Natsu tight and smiled "close gate of the lion. Thank you, Leo" Loki disappeared and then Natsu noticed what his daughter was wearing "Why did Lucy let you wear that? The only thing covering your chest is lace!" Natsu smiled and went to Ersa to get Flare her symbol on her shoulder
Flare was still crying and in disbelief, like it was a dream "Daddy?" when she said that Natsu broke down "Y-yes ember I'm your dad!" Natsu smiled and fixed his scarf on her "Keep it Flare. Lucy probably thinks I died"
As he said that Lucy came in worried bout the fact that there was no fighting and Gray went outside and then as she saw Natsu she ran into his arms and cried "Natsu! You hot head, I thought you died when Gray came back with your scarf. I gave it to Flare cause she deserved to know her father's legacy"
