After few hours:
Gauri was sitting behind a vehicle, on this road, near a petrol pump. There were also some local dhabas and few other vehicles, buses and trucks parked here, a perfect place for her to take shelter, trying hard to not get located.
The day hadn't broken yet, and it was not safer for her to roam around like this, when she couldn't even run due to her frail body.
She had grabbed a shawl from a vehicle, wrapping it around her torn clothes and body, now sitting with head on her knees...waiting for the horrible night to end.
It would have been few minutes, and the pain was squeezing her body with pain. That's when she heard a few footsteps, as she raised her head alarmed.
Kali?
She collected herself, trying to get up and run but seems the person was too fast as he caught her frail body, stopping her from running away.
"Gauri...Gauri it's me!" (Gauri...Gauri main hun!)
Omkara it was, with a concerned face as he clutched her bruised hand making her hiss.
"Issss!"
"Oh sorry...but... you. Why didn't you wait for me! I have been looking for you..." (Oh sorry...par...tum. Tum mere liye ruki kyun nahi! Main tumhein kab se dhoondh raha hun....)
But then he looked at her face in the street light.
"Oh shit...your wound has gone scarry... wait I have got a first-aid!" (Oh shit...tumhara zaqm to aur darawna hogaya hai....ruko mere paas ek first-aid hai!)
His constant blabber came to an end as he realized she was badly injured and he cut short his complaints, running back somewhere while Gauri breathed.
What should she do now? Run away!! She couldn't trust Omkara. What if he was again followed by Kali's men? Like last time....
Run Gauri! Run!!!
She turned away to take a step but her hip-joint was badly affected...and her snail speed wasn't helping for god's sake!
Omkara returned in a jiffy with a big first-aid...
"Sit, here!"(Baitho!)
He wasn't aware of her thoughts as he made her sit at her earlier place, now inspecting the wound, holding her head carefully, but she kept a hand on his chest, pushing him, trying to move away from him, in spite of being in pain.
