First day of high school, freshman year. I have my typical first-day quiet persona as I walk into sixth period. My schedule tells me it's Child Development class, and I relax, knowing this period will be simple for me. I take my usual seat of choice, right in front, by the teacher's desk, and I wait for the bell to ring. Before class begins, just seconds before the bell, a guy walks in and sits in the seat right beside me...
I look him up and down, trying not to make it obvious. He's tall and muscular, lean but not skinny, obviously older than me. A junior, maybe? His green eyes are hard to look away from... Oh God, am I staring? He's wearing black skinny jeans with chains on the pockets and a black band tee with "Asking Alexandria" strewn across the front. As he sits down, he places his bookbag on the floor and doesn't say a word. Who is this mystery boy?

His smile is absolutely contagious, braces and all. I can't help but look at him all the time during class; it's like I'm drawn to him... His name is Drew, and we talk quite frequently, now. He's a really good artist. I love watching him draw his doodles, not paying attention to the teacher, of course. I'd call us friends, which means something, because "friend" is a title I don't give many people.
I always look forward to 6th period, and on my one day of the week that I don't have it, I'm just not as happy as the rest of the week. He draws smiley faces on my papers when I'm not looking, and he drew a mustache on my Hello Kitty backpack; it made me smile. He's obviously flirting with me, and I with him, but I watch what I do because I happen to now be in a relationship. But I simply can't help myself; he's just so damn cute!

We've talked online only a couple times. He also happens to have a girlfriend... I think Bridget is her name? The conversation almost got a little interesting, but I'm faithful to the one I'm with, so I keep myself from doing anything I shouldn't, and it proves to be a bit of a challenge. This boy's got such an effect on me...

Whelp! His girlfriend is definitely the jealous-type. She barges into the classroom on a chilly morning wearing a skirt that flows to the floor and one of his black jackets over a tank top. This displeases me, especially since she's not in this class with us.
"You need to stop flirting with MY boyfriend"
"Honey, you've got it a little mixed up"
"Just back off, bitch"
"I don't know what you're talking about, so I'm going to just walk away to my desk, now"I turned and walked away from her, taking my place beside Drew. The girl continued her foul screaming until she was satisfied with herself, needing the last word, of course. Typical female. What she doesn't know is... if I want him, I'll get him. I always get what I want, and by the look of things, she doesn't seem like she's going to last long...

Drew no longer speaks to me in class like he used to. She probably told him to stop talking to me completely... Why do I care so much?

Last day of school. I walk with my Hello Kitty backpack around me and my binder in my arms infront of my chest, ready to leave the school to the buses, but not in any particular hurry. My head is low, as it usually is when I walk, but I look up quickly as I turn around, hearing my name yelled from behind me in an overly excited voice.
"Tori!!!"
Before I know it, I'm ran into, picked up, and hugged with child-like excitement, by none other than Drew. It sends me into a giggling frenzy, as I'm squeezed in his arms, the happiest I've been in quite some time. After what seems like forever, he lets me go, looks me in the eyes for a moment, then walks away with a huge smile painted across his adorable face.
That was the last day I remember seeing him...

February of 2015
UPDATE:
- Drew had moved to Maine since we lost touch.
- He is scheduled to move back to Indiana in June of this year.
- We regained communication through Facebook late January/ early February.
- As of February 5th, we began our relationship as a couple.Little did I know, he liked me as well. Throughout all the times he caught me staring in class, he was doing the same back at me. Our love, now confessed for each other, and our forever begins.
Now THAT, Ladie's and Gentlemen... is what I call "Love at First Sight".
