He opened his eyelids slightly.
From the small window, tender rays of sunlight filtered through the thin glass and then rested on his white face, making his eyes shine.

Emitting a loud yawn, he stretched, letting the woolen blanket slip, down to the fabric covering his legs.

Only then did he notice that he was wearing a short-sleeved shirt with pants.
Lifting the fabric that covered the entire torso, he noticed that his abdomen was covered with several layers of bandages, seeing that in some places it was stained with a faint red, presumably caused by some wound, now healed.

With his head lowered, the images of the nightmare flooded his mind, making it dark, leaving isolated the usual positive thoughts that, in some way, made him raise his spirits.
Copious salty tears began to streak his pale face, his cheeks and eyes slowly began to redden, his lip began to vibrate and his nose turned a dark pink; but not once did the voice come out of his throat, not even a syllable or a faint moan. He quickly wiped his cheeks from the big tears, sniffed and pulled back the hair that had previously fallen out before his eyes. He wanted to be strong, he absolutely had to be strong and show indifference to everyone.

After calming down, he blinked a couple of times, looking around him he remembered everything that had happened so far. Past memories assaulted him forcefully, making him dizzy and nauseous.

He felt terribly sick, stifled strangled moans, felt the air become thin, making him breathless.

In a fit of impulsiveness, he tried to stagger to his feet, he tried to get to the entrance of the place where his tired and wounded body had resided, the same body that at that moment was in full energy and health with, partially , of the scars of a distant memory. That pain he felt was just the reciprocal effect of the medicine on his body, now in effect.

The ears placed on his head, more widely intercepted the area around him: there were multitudes of sounds, from the chirping of a robin resting on a tree near the shed, to the breath of the warriors who circulated, with their might, around the village , protecting it.

His nose, already developed in itself, had greatly improved; caught the scent of freshly baked bread, the smell of the wood of the various trees and pines that surrounded the town, showing a feeling of freedom and tranquility, the stalls of sweets that left around them that sweet taste of sugar that in the mouth, upon contact with saliva it dissolved leaving multitudes of pleasant sensations and abandonment.

His stomach began to grumble, but he couldn't think about food, first of all he had to get out of that closed place.
Before he took another step, the curtain was pulled back revealing the manly figure, with a powerful aura hovering around it.

<< You finally woke up >>

The boy looked at him surprised, certainly he was not yet confident and submissive to that herd, although they had given him appropriate care to restore it.

He frowned, ears pointed forward listening for any slightest movement from the man.
He tried to attack him with the claws of his thin, pale fingers, but the Alpha easily dodged.
Losing his balance, he found himself clinging to the wall, his ears back on the Alpha: he was foiled and curious at the same time.

<<We took you with us, although you are a stranger: we have treated you, fed you with a warm place to rest and speed up the healing of those horrible wounds that you found yourself a week ago; and you to reward us, attack us ... >>

The boy was surprised: he couldn't believe he had been unconscious for a whole week.

"despite this, however, although you too are emeritus strangers to me, you cannot guarantee that you are harmless to me and that you do not force me to submit and be an object in your hands, or not to be attacked in a moment crucial for me "

His expression oozed with grit, courage and determination.

<<You're not a bad guy, but leaving out the fact of being on alert and various stuff ... I brought you something, although I may still be unconscious, but I think you would prefer something other than a simple salad ... >>

The boy, curious, dozed off his pride and concentrated all his attention on the words in being addressed to him with so much tranquility: as if he knew that, despite being in an attack position with his fangs showing and his claws almost piercing his palms of his own hands, he was in a state of instinctive self-defense.

The Alpha was moved by this situation.
The effect of the medicine gradually extended inside the young man's body, letting the perfume glands, which characterized each of their beings, slowly release the smell of their owner: a mixture of chocolate and orange, with a light touch. of coffee and the sweet one of honey

The scent of the young man made him a defenseless puppy in the eyes of the Alpha, in fact a delicate and not at all suffocating perfume prevailed in him.
The scent of wolves changed with the change of the body, in fact once reached the age of majority it became more intense and virile, so as to make other wolves understand that, that particular individual, was no longer a puppy and that he could officially enter the world of adults

<<Come on, let's go and buy something better >> he held out his hand in the direction of him, hoping that he would grab it.

He wanted to decline the invitation, but his stomach betrayed him, they begin to grumble, making him, for the first time in all his short life, cheeks pale pink with embarrassment.

He grabbed it firmly with his, and they walked out.

Only at the exact moment he stepped out of the shed for the first time did he realize that the fatigue and mental pressure he had endured had totally vanished.

Once out, they walked through the various streets of the town.

Gently, hand in hand, he dragged him with him.

The puppy looked carefully around him; his eyes illuminated by a strange emotion never felt before.
On the way, he noticed how people went about their daily chores carefree.
Scenes, in particular, struck him deeply: a mother was quietly playing with her children, all three carefree and happy with a huge smile to surround their cheerful face, every now and then she placed her graceful hand on their heads, covered from golden curls, leaving him, slow and sweet, caresses full of love, after a while one of the children slipped and fell to the ground, peeling his knee, the worried mother immediately ran to his aid, then giving him a tender kiss on the side wounded by giving him an affectionate smile of reassurance as a result; another scene was that of a group of children, with little girls and boys playing catch, without being in the least reproached for every little action they did or combine, and when some boys approached, still in the phase of coming of age, immediately the little ones ran to meet them to force them to play with them, thus having the attention of the older ones, and the latter by now used and exhausted to refuse, began to play with them without hurting them.
Their carefree and graceful way of doing what they wanted without being reprimanded, or the love and concern of a mother for her children was something totally out of reach of the omega's thoughts, forcibly accustomed to other ways; that freedom left him speechless, he did not imagine possible that simple people could behave with such freedom and without any limitation.

What everyday life meant to other people, to him, those actions were unknown.

Throughout the day, the pack leader accompanied him and showed him the whole village.
He was still dubious about what to do with the boy, always remaining on the defensive, in case he wanted to play a joke on him and run away or hurt someone in his pack, but he had to change his mind about the fact that he could be a threat: the boy continued to look around and behave like a puppy of a few months, who sees the world around him for the first time; a spark of various too strong emotions surrounded his entire face making it shine like a small sun of ice.

That day he found that the boy posed no threat to his family.
