thorns (Adam x Ruby)

Intro

Adam and a few white fang members  walk through a small wooded area, they come across a small clearing on a cliff side. Adam tells his men to stay in the trees while he goes to see if anyone is on the cliff.

He stays in the tree line and scans the area, he spots a red hooded figure kneeling on the ground. He watches them listening to see if they are saying anything. He could hear a small bit of talking.

"hey mum, I thought I'd come talk to you again, I miss you, Alot" the hooded character says. Adam starts to slowly and quietly walk towards them, one hand on his sword.

"I brought you a rose"

Adam stands right behind the hooded person and draws his sword.

The hooded person hears the sword and quickly stands up. They turn to face Adam. He points his sword towards them and asks a little violently "who are you?!"

They remove their hood and reviled their face to him, she had short black hair with parts dyed red, and shows she has silver eyes. She looked up at him.

"why are you here? This is private land" she questioned him, she stayed calm.

Adam called over his men and they surrounded her, she looked around slowly counting each one.

"do you know who your disrespecting?!" she says a little violently. Adam looks a little confused but still continues to threaten her.

"and you are?" he asks.

"the daughter of who's grave you are disrespecting" she continued to study the men around her.

Adam lowered his sword and asked again "who are you, I won't ask again"
She stepped to the side and revealed a grave, it read 'summer rose' Adam looked at the grave then at the girl.

"summer rose?" Adam started to walk towards the grave. The girl looked at Adam.

"I'm Ruby rose" she looked at the grave.

"summer rose as in the one from team STRQ?" he questions.

Ruby looks at him confused. "how do you know my mother?" she asks a little angry.

"I've heard stories about the team, they were meant to be the best of the best, until one day summer didn't come back" he said looking at the grave.

"I see" Ruby responded. "well I should probably go..."

Adam looked at Ruby "I'm sorry for your loss"

"don't worry about it" Ruby looked at the grave and placed down a rose "miss ya mum" he then looked up at Adam. "you guys need to leave this is my families property"

"maybe you can help us, we are looking for a place to set up a small base, away from people, know anywhere?" Adam asked Ruby. Ruby thought to herself for a second then answered "I might do, but first you need to tell me who you are and why you are here"

Adam sighed and replied "I'm adam taurus, these are my men from the white fang, we are up here to set up a small base so we can run local missions"

"I know a small clearing hidden from anyone, I'll take you there, if u promise to leave this cliff alone"

Adam thought for a second then nodded his head to agree to the terms. Ruby started to lead the way towards the clearing she talked about, Adam and his men followed behind.

"I'm sorry for threatening you" Adam said to Ruby.

"don't worry about it, took me by surprise, not everyday a girl is greeted with a sword to the throat" she laughed a little.

Adam smiled a little. Ruby looked at him then at his mask. "so the white fang huh?" she says with a tone of confusion.

"you never heard of us?"

"I don't think so..... I know a small group go around trying to get rights for faunus"

"that would be our organisation"

"I see... And the mask?"

"I wear this for personal reasons"

Both stayed silent after that, they got to the clearing. Ruby looked at Adam "here ya go!" Adam looked around then told his men to start setting up camp.

"thank you Ruby"

"no need to thank me just helping out, now I promise to keep this a secret between us if you don't come back to the cliff edge OK?"

Adam noded in agreement, Ruby smiled and started to walk off back to the cliff with summers grave.

Adams men had finished setting up, Adam walked into his small tent he would be staying in for a while. Ruby headed back home, she quietly entered her home and went to her bedroom, before she left to go out she put a small note on her bed it read 'gone to see mum won't be long, ruby' this was in case Tai or Yang came to check on her during the night. She sat on her bed put the note back under her pillow and laid down, quickly falling asleep.
