Amelia and Arizona

Chapter 1

 (Amelia's POV)

Amelia had invited Arizona to her house. They were ordering Chinese and were probably going to watch some cheesey romance movie. They'd bee dating for 2 months now but Amelia still hadn't told her daughter that they were together. It wasn't because she was ashamed of the fact that they were together, more so the fact that she was scared of how she'd react.

Amelia had never been with a girl before. She was new to her sexuality and had only been with guys before now. Arizona was different. Something about the way her eyes sparkled when she was happy or how the dimples on her cheeks deepend when she smiled. It was infectious and it caused butterflies in her stomach every time.

She hoped her daughter was okay with it. She really liked Arizona and hoped that Charlotte would too. 

Amelia  opened the door after hearing a light knock. 

"Hi" Arizona smiled as soon as she saw Amelia.

Amelia smiled brightly. Man was her smile contagious. She brushed a stray hair behind her ear  and kissed her. It only lasted a few seconds but it was perfect.

"Hey" She responded.

"How was work? I brought food"  Arizona said gesturing to the bag in her hand."

"It was okay, tiring. I'm happy to see you though."

"You look really pretty Am'" Arizona said walking past the door.

"I'm in my PJ's," She laughed.

Arizona opened the box of Chinese Food and sat down on the couch. 

Sitting down next to her Amelia smiled. There  Arizona was just simply eating, and she never looked more beautiful. She felt like the luckiest girl in the world.

"Staring much?" Arizona smirked turning towards the brunette.

"N-No" She stuttered, a tint of pink raising in her cheeks.

They ate in silence for a few moments before Amelia heard the creak of the stairs. Turning around she saw Charlotte  and laughed to herself. "Lets see how this plays out" She thought.

"Hey mom, Do you think we ca-" She started before noticing that there was another guest in the living room. "Er- Sorry, I didn't know anyone was over." She said before turning around  to go back upstairs.

"Wait Char, what were you gonna ask?" Amelia stopped her before she went upstairs. 

"I was gonna ask what we were having for dinner considering its already nine, but looks like you've already ate." Charlotte smirked.

"Hello, you must be Charlotte, Im Arizona" Arizona said smiling. 

"Hi, It's nice to meet you."  I smiled back. "Have fun," She chuckled before turning back around into her room.

"She seems nice" Arizona said. "She looks just like you too" She smiled.

Amelia smiled. That didn't go nearly as bad as she thought it would. Charlotte would probably tease her about it later, but for now, she was going to enjoy the rest of her date.
