Jinyoung and his father look at each other. They're not sure they want to take Yugyeom back to his house, especially if his uncle is back. But maybe his uncle isn't that stupid and is still gone. Even if he is back, Jinyoung and his father will be there to protect Yugyeom.
"Let's go to your house then," Jinyoung's dad says. "You have all your stuff?"
Yugyeom nods, even though he didn't bring anything with him. Jinyoung grabs the handles of the wheelchair to push Yugyeom, and Jinyoung's dad leads them out of the room. They pass by the doctor, thank him again, before leaving the hospital. They head toward Jinyoung's dad's car, soon arriving. He unlocks the car, and Jinyoung grabs Yugyeom's hand. Yugyeom is a bit startled at how soft and warm Jinyoung's hand is, but lets Jinyoung pull him up.
Jinyoung's dad folds the wheelchair, putting it in the trunk, whilst Jinyoung helps Yugyeom in the back seat.
"Is that okay?" Jinyoung asks, in case Yugyeom is uncomfortable.
Yugyeom nods, not wanting to speak. Jinyoung helps Yugyeom buckle himself in, before closing the door behind him. Jinyoung gets in the passenger's seat, whilst his dad gets in the driver's seat. Jinyoung's dad buckles himself in, before looking at Yugyeom through the rearview mirror.
"You ready to go, Yugyeom?" Jinyoung's dad says, starting the car.
Yugyeom nods again. Jinyoung's dad then starts driving out of the hospital. He remembers where Yugyeom's house is, so he doesn't need Yugyeom telling him the address. They arrive at Yugyeom's house almost thirty minutes later, and Jinyoung's dad parks in the driveway.
"What do you need, Yugyeom?" Jinyoung asks, unbuckling himself. "I'll get it for you."
Yugyeom opens his mouth to deny but quickly closes it. He can't get out, or even walk by himself because of his ankle. Jinyoung or his dad would have to go get it.
"J-ju-just s-so-some c-cl-clothes," Yugyeom mutters. "And my s-sch-school bag and s-st-stuff."
Jinyoung nods, getting out of the car. "Is it all in your room?"
Yugyeom nods this time, so Jinyoung closes the car door behind him. He walks toward Yugyeom's house and surprisingly opens the front door. They must've left it open earlier.
Around ten minutes later, Jinyoung comes back. Fortunately, there aren't any injuries on him, which means Yugyeom's uncle isn't back yet. Jinyoung walks toward his dad's car, opening the passenger's door. He gets in and hands the bag in his hands to Yugyeom.
"Here," Jinyoung says. "I got a few more things just in case."
Yugyeom nods, grabbing the bag. "T-th-thank you."
Jinyoung smiles. "Of course."
"Yugyeom, do you want to go anywhere else?" Jinyoung's dad asks, looking at him through the rearview mirror.
"No," he replies. "We can go to y-yo-your g-gu-guys' h-ho-house now."
--
Surprisingly, an hour later, Jinyoung's dad pulls up into the driveway of a modern house. It has two floors and looks pretty fancy to Yugyeom. The male gapes as he looks at it. He didn't expect Jinyoung and his dad to be rich.
Breaking him out of his thoughts, Jinyoung and his dad unbuckle themselves. Yugyeom does it as well, and Jinyoung's dad grabs the wheelchair from the trunk, whilst Jinyoung opens the backseat door. Once Jinyoung's dad has the wheelchair out, and wheels it to where Yugyeom is, Jinyoung grabs his hand again, and helps him sit down. Yugyeom quietly thanks him, and Jinyoung nods, pushing him inside his house.
"Wow," Yugyeom quietly says as they get inside. "You h-ha-have a n-ni-nice h-ho-house."
"Thanks," Jinyoung says. "Um, are you hungry? I think there's some leftover pizza left."
Yugyeom's stomach grumbles at the mention of pizza. "I-I w-wa-want s-so-some."
"I'll serve you some then," Jinyoung assures, pushing Yugyeom toward the kitchen.
Jinyoung's dad soon joins them, placing Yugyeom's bags on the couch. He walks toward the kitchen, seeing Jinyoung and Yugyeom talking with each other, whilst eating pizza. Jinyoung's dad smiles at the scene, getting a pizza slice for himself.
"Yugyeom, do you want to live here?" he asks. "We don't want to force you if you don't want to."
"Um, you g-gu-guys h-ha-have a p-pr-pretty n-ni-nice h-ho-house," Yugyeom says. "As l-lo-long as you g-gu-guys d-do-don't do a-an-anything to me, I t-th-think I'll be f-fi-fine."
Jinyoung nods with a smile. "Do you go to school?"
At the mention of school, Yugyeom tenses up. He'll go back to school sooner or later, which means he'll have to see Bambam. If the older sees him with an injured ankle, the bullying will get worse, and Yugyeom will have more than an injured ankle. Jinyoung and his dad seem to notice the panicked look on Yugyeom's face since they quickly step in.
"D-don't worry, Yugyeom, Jinyoung still goes to school," his dad assures. "You'll be able to go with him."
Yugyeom nods. He looks up at Jinyoung. "W-wh-which s-sc-school do you go to?"
"Jinhae-gu High School," he replies. "You?"
"N-Na-Namyangju-si H-Hi-High S-Sc-School," Yugyeom says.
"That's, like, three hours away from here," Jinyoung's dad muses. "I think you should be fine here, Yugyeom."
The younger nods. Relief washes over him. If he starts going with Jinyoung to his school, Yugyeom will stop seeing Bambam. That means no more bullying, getting harassed, and Yugyeom will stop having to worry and be scared about Bambam.
"I'm r-re-ready to get started, then."
