Domino, Here I Come!

It all started back when I was just 14. I lived in one of the many quiet neighborhoods of Berkshire, Wyoming. My mom had put me in a hot pink dress with matching high heels and a matching bow in my jet-black hair and had driven me to my high school: Monarch High. About a few hours later, I was just eating my lunch in the cafeteria when I heard arguing in one of the hallways. I got up, walked over to where the arguing was coming from, and started when I saw my principal shaking like a leaf and cowering under the intimidating form of the notorious Bandit Keith. My sapphire eyes narrowed as I glared at the back of Bandit Keith's blond-haired head. I marched over to the pair, determined to finish whatever Bandit Keith started.

"OI!" I shouted as I placed my feet shoulder-length apart and my hands on my hips, "YOU LEAVE PRINCIPAL HARRISON ALONE!"

Bandit Keith whirled around, surprised by my voice and the anger in it. He saw me and laughed, "Whatcha gonna do about it, girlie?"

"First off, my name is Azaria. Second, how about an official round of Duel Monsters, TV cameras and all? Winner takes the title of US Duel Monsters Champion and swears to not retaliate afterwards," I suggested coolly, angry at him for thinking that a girl couldn't do anything about what was going on. He smirked and said, "Deal."

Three hours later...

I arrived at the Dueling Arena with my best Deck at my hip. My hair was back in a high ponytail so I could see, and I waved at the cameras like my mom had taught me to do. I turned away as the platform rose and connected me to the Dueling Arena itself. Bandit Keith's platform brought him up to his side of the Dueling Arena. We set our Decks in the proper places, and the Duel began.

Bandit Keith went first. He drew his four cards and called, "I summon Ground Attacker Bugroth in Attack Mode and set two cards facedown. Your move, girlie."

I just smirked and shot back, "Fine with me, dumbo. I play Protector of Light in Defense Mode and set three cards face-down." Okay, the three cards I set down were Mirror Wall, Summons of Light, and Lightforce Sword. If memory serves, he's got mainly machine-type monsters and quite a few spells and traps.

About two hours later...

I smiled as my beloved Princess of Light and my equally beloved White-Eyes Gold Dragon took out Bandit Keith's Metalzoa as well as the last 400 of his LifePoints. He screamed, angry at the fact that he'd lost to a 14-year-old girl. As soon as the platforms came down, he charged and punched me in the stomach. Despite that, I remained calm. I got down next to him since he had sunk to his knees, placed my hand on his shoulder, and said, "Bandit Keith, your anger is understandable, but you lost. It may have been a bit humiliating, but you had me there for a while. Now, pull yourself together and show the crowd how true US citizens act."

He listened, waved at the crowd, and left the Arena calmly. I did the same, but a small smile touched my lips. At last, things were looking up for me. Little did I know that my new title would change my life, and in more ways than one.
