[In the kitchen]

Rook (Leo): Hey, Jade?? Have you seen Amber around here?

Rookie (Jade): *washing the dishes* Hm? Oh, no, I haven't seen her. Must be on the balcony again. *giggles*

[On the balcony]

Rook goes upstairs to the balcony where Amber is still gleefully stargazing with her brand-new telescope she got as a birthday gift, her trusty sketchbook where she sketched down all sorts of things she found in the sky and a brightly lit lantern next to her.

Rook: Hey there. :>

Crossy (Amber): *gets startled a little* Oh, hi Leo! :>

Rook: You're still up there??

Crossy: (while looking into telescope) Haha, yeah.

Rook: Do you like the telescope?

Crossy: I. Love. It. Thank you so much, Leo! You know me pretty well, haha!

Rook: Hehe, yeah.

Crossy: *gasps excitedly* Leo, Leo! Come here, come here! Check this out! *adjusts the focus*

Rook: Hm? :0 *walks up to telescope and puts his eye onto the eyepiece*

Crossy: Eh?? What do you see?? :D

Rook: A... what do you call it, star??, that's kinda red and amber-coloured- Hehe, "amber-coloured". *giggles*

Crossy: *giggles* Yeah. xD Apparently, this star is called Beh-tel-ghe-oo-seh? (Betelgeuse) which means "the giant's shoulder" in Arabic. It's the second brightest star in the constellation Orion, so it's pretty much visible in the sky at times, even without the telescope.

Rook: (while moving around the telescope) I only understood "Orion".

Crossy: *laughs* Sorry for all the astronomy stuff there. xD What can you say, I love this science! :D

Rook: Yeah, I can see that, heheh. :P Wow, these stars look so pretty.

Crossy: *sighs contently* Yeah... I know right?

Rook: *glances over to her sketchbook* Hey, what's that?

Crossy: Oh, that's just my sketchbook. I sketched up some constellation art in here.

Rook: Constellation art?

Crossy: Yeah! Astronomers connect stars in the sky to make cool patterns like a river or a bull or fish, etc. You really gotta use your imagination for it. There are also stories behind the constellations like, for example, I read in a book that Orion was born to a Gorgon and Poseidon, the god of the sea and the goddess Gaia tried to kill him with a scorpion 'cause he said that he'd kill every animal on Earth. That's why Orion and the constellation Scorpius are never seen in the sky at the same time.

Rook: Okay, wow, that's quite the story, Amber. I really hope Orion doesn't grow up to be like that though.

*Crossy and Rook laugh*

Crossy: Yeah, I hope so too, hahaha!

Rook: But seriously though, these stories sound pretty interesting!

Crossy: *gasp* You think so? :0

Rook: Yeah! :D

Crossy: Oh, wow, I didn't think anyone would be willing to listen to my astro-taradiddle, hehe.
