4. Phantom Troupe Friends :)

Shaken by the events of the night, you join some other troupe members who happened to be in Yorknew for drinks.

What a crazy night. At least if I drink a little I'll feel somewhat better.

You do a light facepalm to distract yourself from the conflicting thoughts in your head, as you approach the bar.

You take the first step into the bar, and get met by Phinks, Shizuku, and Machi, with a loud array of excitement. "Heyyyy, Y/N! It's been so long, I mished youuuu!" Phinks was already drunk, meaning he would be super clingy for the next couple of hours.

"I missed you too Phinks," You laugh, instantly calmed by the situation beforehand. You take a seat in between Machi and Shizuku in an attempt to shield yourself from Phink's attraction before ordering.

After getting tipsy, you start blabbing about what had happened with Hisoka earlier that evening.

"Hey Machi, why did you make ME help Hisoka? He was such a prick."

"I know that, Y/N, he's dumb too. That's exactly why I made you do it. Why, did he make fun of you or something?"

"Nah, nah, he tried to make me stay the night with him. He didn't force me to do anything, it was just weird."

"Hmmm." Machi, never one to get drunk in front of others thinks about what could have happened between them. "Why did you say no?"

"I-I don't know, I just didn't wanna. He was really handsome though, his golden eyes and hair almost made me stay." Under the influence of the alcohol, the inner thoughts you had been having about Hisoka beforehand came out.

"Whatttttt? Y/N, you like Hisoka? Why not me? That dude is weird, for real." Phinks butts in with unnecessary commentary.

Shizuku finally speaks up. "Yeah, I think so too. I'd rather play games like arm wrestling than hang out with any of you guys."

"Huhhhh? Whats that supposed to mean Shizuku?"

"I don't remember!"

Phinks' and Shizuku's voices fade as you focus on what they had said.

"I don't like Hisoka!" You retort. "It's just, he's, y'know, a little hot, don'tcha think?"

Machi places a warm hand on your thigh. "If you think so, why don't you meet him? He's not the type to commit to anything, so it's not like you'd have to worry tomorrow about a possible relationship or anything. I bet he said he'd be available anytime, right?"

"Y-Yeah, he did. How did you know that?"

"Well he's said the same thing to me at one point. I wouldn't be mad if you decided to go, but I will warn you, he is a lot to handle."

It had been a long time since you had been with someone, since before you joined the Phantom Troupe. A small part of you had been wishing you had turned around and stayed with him, and that longing had only grown after speaking with your fellow Troupe members.

"But, Bro's before hoes, right? Is it really okay to leave for some dick?"

"Yeah girl, of course! I don't care, go ahead!"

"I guess. Maybe I should go. Maybe I will go," You say in defiance, and the girls both nod towards you as you stumble your way out the door. You hear the call of a drunken Phinks before the door shuts.

Even though you hadn't taken a lot of drinks, your head was still a little dizzy and it was hard to walk straight.

"Ah.. I... shouldn't have... walked," you mumble to yourself, vaguely remembering the way there.

As you approach the final crosswalk to the hotel Hisoka had stayed at, you forget to look both ways before crossing.

At the last minute, you see a car's flashing lights and a loud screeching noise before you feel some large arms clutch you. You pass out immediately after, and feel at ease in this stranger's hold.

When you come to, you immediately notice similar curtains and decoration to those you had seen in Hisoka's room.

Nooo way. It can't be. I mean I know I was looking for him but isn't this too much of a coincidence?

You lift your head off the bed you had been placed on, and see a built silhouette on the edge of the bed. Immediately realizing you were awake, he turns towards you and makes a small smile.

"Ahhh, you're awake. I told you I would see you again, Y/N."
