it was moving day for brianna and her family. they had moved to a house in a small neighborhood not too far from the middle of town. as being a senior in high school brianna wasn't happy at all. moving to a new state and not being able to know anyone at all was going to be hard...she thought. as she stepped into her house house for the first time her mother said,
"hunny make sure you find all your school stuff, you have to go tomorrow."
brianna absolutely was not happy about having to go to school the next day. she went into her room and scrolled through tiktok as the hours went on.
-time skip to next day-
"mom hurry up i'm gonna be late!" brianna yelled walking through the door.
"i'm coming don't worry!" her mother yelled back jogging from the kitchen. as they drove to school brianna could only think about how awful it was going to be. not knowing anyone. new school. new state. too much change. she put in her airpods and listened to music the rest of the way.
"we're here." her mom said staring at the school from the parking lot.
"well i see you later i guess..." brianna said giving her mom a hug and slowly walking toward the school. as she stepped in, she looked around just to get a feel for everything and spotted a guy. she doesn't know why but she can't take her eyes off him. as she stares, he notices her and starts to walk towards her.
"like what you see?" he says with a smirk.
"oh- um sorry i-i'm gonna go sorry." she says starting to walk away.
"yeah i don't think so. what's your name pretty girl?" he says staring down at her. while stepping in front of her.
"brianna." she says almost at a whisper due to being so caught off guard.
"i like it. i'm bremner. some people call me lloyd i dont care which so you pick." he says while smiling. brianna is the most flustered she's ever been. standing there only around half a foot from this guy who towers over her. she stares up at him and is amazed at how great this school might be.
"i guess bremner. kinda matches me." she says with a slight giggle.
"what's your first period bri?" he askes starting to walk.
"oh um geometry." she says catching up. did he really just call me bri? she thought. the only person who calls me that is my mom. i like it. she smiles slightly as she continues to follow him.
"nice me too! wont be such a shitty class overall." he says grabbing her hand and running towards the room while the bell goes off.
"are we late?" brianna says scared.
"no we have five minutes. and if we were, it would be fine sweetheart." he said smiling at her. omg sweetheart?!
"hello miss brianna." the teacher says staring at her.
"uhh h-hi." she says letting go of bremners hand and walking towards her.
"you can sit over there. no need for boy toys." the teacher says with a bitchy tone.
omg the one person i know in this whole school and i can't even sit by him. and why does she care if i was talking to a guy? it's non of her business. she sits down in a seat across the room from bremner. as she gets herself situated she feels a tap of her shoulder.
"hm?" she says looking up.
"we are hanging out today. here's my number. you can ride home with me and i'll even drop you off at home too. just tell your parents." bremner says handing her a piece of paper with a phone number on it.
"oh uh sounds good i'll text you what my mom says." brianna says taking the paper and smiles. HE WANTS TO HANGOUT WITH ME?! best school ever i swear.
"bremner. seat. now." the teacher says pointing to a desk. jeez what a hard ass. and the day went on without seeing bremner and just getting a bunch of syllables.
-time skip to the end of the day-
brianna-hey my mom said i can come where are you :)
bremner-i'm out front i have the pink jeep come on in
brianna-a pink jeep? huh?
bremner-what cant handle a little pink ;)
as she walks towards the car brianna gets filled with excitement. all she can think about it what they could do. and how long this little thing will last. she gets in and he smiles at her.
"my parents aren't home so don't worry about any awkward conversations." he says giggling.
"good" brianna says smiling.
bremner starts to drive and puts on some music.
"oh my gosh i love arctic monkeys! you like them too?" brianna says with a little jump of excitement.
"um of course how could i not?!" bremner says smiling ear to ear. he turns up the music as they both jam out.
almost 15 minutes go by of a drive and bremner turns down the music and pulls into the driveway.
"here we are." he says looking at brianna.
she's met with a cute house with two floors. the outside is red with a brownish roof. it looks very homey and warm.
"cute house" brianna says sarcastically.
"oh shush let's go inside." bremner says laughing.
brianna follows him and they walk inside. it's decorated nice and the smell of brownies fills the house.
"mmm smells good!" he says walking over to the kitchen to see brownies his mom made earlier that day.
"want one?" he asks brianna.
"sure." she says taking one from his hand. a very short amount of time goes by as they chow down the brownies.
"okay the office or cobra kai?" he asks.
"huh?" brianna says as she takes the last bite of her brownie.
"we are watching tv duh come on." bremner says taking her hand and pulling it to the couch. he sits her down and sits right next to her. he is in the corner with one arm on the armrest and the other on top of the couch. brianna right next to him trying to get comfortable.
"the office or cobra kai?" bremner says pulling up netflix.
"hmm probably the office." brianna says looking at him.
"good choice cutie." he says with a smile and then turning towards the tv. omg cutie? i feel like he knows that i get flustered when he says stuff like that. he's got nice hair. and his side profile is nice. this will be really nice.
"you're pretty" brianna says staring at him and jumps when she realizes she actually said that out loud.
"thanks" bremner says laughing and pulling brianna into him. he pulls a blanket from behind them over and forces brianna to cuddle up to him. they both watch the office for a while while cuddling and just enjoying each other's company. a few laughs would fill the room as the time passes. after an hour they both ended up falling asleep in each other's arms, happy that this school year is going to be great.
