The reason of her return to SK is still unknown. Yet people speculate that it may be more business than personal. Although Insiders implied of her mother's ailing health, Ms Jennie Kim's coming home coincides with her Uncle Yang's stepping down as YGE's CEO. The Entertainment tycoon was married once but never produced an heir. Sources say, he might've sired a couple of children out of wedlock but this has yet to be confirmed, making his cousin, the Kim Matriarch and her only daughter his only surviving family. Is the Princess staying for good and take her rightful title as Queen?

Two weeks later

They haven't spoken with each other for only a month but some form of anxiety is taking over Jisoo Kim like mad. The walk to the mansion's library feels like a mile. The last time was rather brief, just Jennie calling in from Milan asking if her late birthday gift has reached SK. They are both constantly crazy busy but would never become strangers to each other-- something that Jisoo kept secretly from her BlackPink members for years. They've been low-key BFFs since trainee days and the bond became stronger after that 'bad' event Jennie refuses to remember. Bothering Jennie would be the last thing Jisoo would ever do BUT right now, only Jennie Kim can save her name and face. And maybe life. This is way more shameful than walking around in public naked, thought Kim Jisoo. And she will have to deal with Lisa too, sighs the poor, desperate Unnie of BlackPink.

Footsteps in the most refined cadence brought Jisoo out of her panic-stricken reverie. In ten more steps, they reached the heavy doors of the Kims' famed library, the butler politely opening them for her, ushering her inside to finally give a bow before leaving with the doors closing. Jisoo gives a grateful nod and turns to face the most intimidating yet very mysterious woman of South Korea. At least, what tabloids portray her rather baby-faced and meek but gorgeous friend. The latter quickly stood up from her swivel chair, welcoming her with a gummy smile, a squeal and open arms--nothing like THEE PRINCESS that Jennie decided to play as in media and in public. It was more of a Magazine article creating such image that the designer played along.

JISOO: Goodness, Jendeuk! (fakely whining when Jennie threw herself at her)

JENNIE: I missed you so much, Unnie! (deliberately hugging Jisoo way too tightly to annoy her)

JISOO: Hey, stop it, you Mandu! Hark!

Jennie laughs out loud but slowly eases her hold. She really does miss Jisoo. She may be a socialite but her true friends are kept in a very small circle and Jisoo is among those few. Kept secret, however, for years now for a reason. She despises disloyalty and betrayal but Jisoo wasn't like THEM. Albeit, ten years have passed, things had been forgiven but never forgotten. Jennie quickly dismissed her train of thought with a small headshake. She smiles sweetly at her good friend. During their time at the YG Dormitories, they were teased as twins, having the same height and both keeping their natural dark hair color while others donned different, often wild styles.

She meant to see South Korea's Media Goddess once her schedule is cleared from all meetings and various events that she was taken by complete surprise when Jisoo initiated the contact. And without saying much, she knew it's an urgent matter. Jennie was lucky enough to have a day with most appointments that can be moved to other dates and so here they stand looking at each other like it hasn't been a year since they last had their sisterly rendezvous in Greece.

JENNIE: How have you been, Unnie? I heard about your new show! I'm so excited for you!

It shocked Jennie that her enthusiasm is responded to with a burdened sigh instead. Jisoo looking away trying to avoid her eyes yet Jennie caught on by the sadness in Jisoo's.
