Christmas is not my favorite season after last year’s incident. It’s just that MY BOYFRIEND FOR SEVEN YEARS BROKE UP WITH ME ON THE VERY DAY OF CHRISTMAS. It’s hard, that’s for sure, but I’ve moved on. After three months of getting myself busy CRYING, two months of studying photography, and another two months of hanging out with my new circle of friends. I learned to love myself more and I enjoy the freedom I got after that.

Today is exactly 100 days before Christmas. All of my friends are excited, most of them invited me to join them shop for gifts, some invited me to their upcoming Christmas parties but i refuse every invitations, it’s just a waste of time! I’d rather listen to my music the whole day or paint or even take pictures than mingle and laugh with people i see almost every day.

One afternoon, i found out that my paint tubes are empty so i decided to buy and stroll at the mall, after all my i need to buy stock of foods. I went to a bookstore and grab two boxes of paint tubes. Since I have extra money, I went to the book section and started looking for something interesting. While looking at the shelves of books, I bumped into someone and dropped the boxes I’m holding. I bend to gather the tubes, and HE helped me.

“I’m sorry miss, i didn’t see you,”

“No, it was my fault; i was looking at the shelves.”

We stand up, and he looked at me.

“I’m Cash, and you’re...?”

“Zhara.”

I don’t want to talk to anybody that’s why in a hurry to escape, I grab a book that I first saw and hurried to the cashier.  I saw him following me so I decided to enter the nearest restaurant. It was my ex’s favorite restaurant. Though i wanted to look for another place, i decided to stay coz I think he didn’t see me enter this restaurant.

I choose the seat at the corner, where usually nobody noticed. I ordered a cup of chocolate and a slice of cake. The idea of me being here again is CREEPY; it sends goose bumps t my arms. And all of a sudden, after all of the days I spent forgetting about him, all of our memories keep filling my head.

“Babe, try this it’s delicious... say ‘ahh’”

“Zhar, babe, please feed me... hmm... please! Please!”

“I super-duper love you my Zhar.”

“Hey, I’m so sorry for keeping you waiting; do you want a Chocolate cake? I ordered one; i know it’s your favorite. Hahaha! You’ve forgiven me already? Aw. I’m such a lucky person *kiss*, ah, let me scratch that, I AM THE LUCKIES MAN IN THE WORLD! It’s all because I got you...”

“I love you. I love you. I love you.”

F*ck! Those memories. Those words, why are they flashing like a romantic movie to me now when in reality it is a D*mn Horror!? What did i do to those seven months? I’ve wasted all of them. Please, stop. It’s so hard, i wanted to walk out of this room but I can’t find the courage to stand up and run. Before I knew it, a man offered me his handkerchief.

“Oh,” i wiped my tears on my cheeks.

“Take it; I can see you badly need it. Don’t worry; it’s the reason why I have one.”

I looked up to that man who offers me his hanky. But to my surprise.

“YOU AGAIN!?” I screamed and pointed a finger at him, and was so embarrassed of what I did. “Err, sorry. I didn’t mean to yell at you, I was... uhmm... Shocked.”
