Hello and welcome to my building tips section.
If you want a good house you might want to follow these tips.
1. DO NOT make a very large structure intirely out of cobble because personally I think it looks ugly but it's up to you.
2. You might want to use stairs for your roof because it gives it that sloped feeling.
3. If you make a fireplace in a wood house make sure the floor around it is not flammable( ie. Not made of wood).
4. Don't make a wood house in the nether because it is a bad place to have something flammable because ghasts can set it on fire.
5. If your playing on a server make your base in a secret location that only your friends know because of griefers will ruin your base if it's out in the open.
6. Don't make a house entirelly out of stone bricks because then it looks like a prison. That is all I have for right now.
