Dear Mama,

Lucy's lips curved up in a smile as she made another letter for her late mother. She bit her lip, trying to contain her emotions, her excitement to tell her all the things that had happened to her just this eventful day. Her hardwork, her effort, her tears, everything.

It's been so long since the last time I've written something to you. It's just that, Team Natsu was keeping me busy the past weeks. They were always excited to go and take many adventures, which I didn't mind, really. Because it's what I was seeking for since then, aside from my rent of course.

Lucy chuckled, face was heating up a bit. The small light of her lamp and the brightness of the moon passing through her slightly opened window, were the only ones keeping her out of complete darkness. The night was cold, but the warmth of memories were swirling in her heart.

It was all I wanted, Mama, to have fun and exciting adventures with my friends, to have endless and new memories with them, and with him.

"J-Juvia," Lucy muttered after opening her door, and found the water mage standing in front of her. She was still in her pajamas with a hair that looked like a bird's nest. "What are you doing here this early?" She took a glance at the alarm clock. It's only eight o'clock in the morning.

"Don't you have any plan for this special day, Lucy-san?!" Juvia rested her hands on the blonde's shoulder. "It's Valentine's Day!"

"And I'm painfully single," she deadpanned, waving her hand in the air dismissively. "So if you don't mind, Juvia, leave me alone. All I want is sleep the whole day."

On the end of her tongue, she could taste her bitterness. Yes, it's heart's day, and so what? She didn't have special someone to greet to, and that's the bitter truth. Even if she wanted to be in a romantic relationship, the problem was, with whom? She couldn't just pull someone and ask him to date her, could she? Besides, she wanted to be with a man who would love her back, not the one-sided love.

It's not as if she wasn't experiencing the latter, though.

She was hopelessly in a one-sided love, the reason why she couldn't push it. She'd rather grow old single than push their friendship on edge. She'd rather keep everything to herself than lose him completely.

"B-But... Valentine's Day isn't just for couples," Juvia quietly replied, bowing her head, eyes were sparkling in unshed tears. "It was celebrated by anyone who experienced love; between friends, family..."

She stared at Lucy with a small smile. "You love Fairy Tail, right? Then celebrate it with us. Think of this as a normal day, the difference is, let your emotions out for once. Don't hold back, Lucy-san."

It's been years since I joined this wonderful family, it's been years since I started feeling this way. I had believed I was bound to keep it all in me, and not let anyone, even a single soul to know about it. But because of this day, I thought maybe it's the best time to free it all.

"Fine," Lucy sighed, smiling slightly at Juvia's now brightened face. She motioned her to come in before she closed the door. "So what's your plan?"

"Thank you, Lucy-san!" Juvia roamed her eyes around the small, yet tidy room. "But before anything else, are you all alone here? Where's Natsu-san?"

Lucy's eyebrows furrowed at the mention of her best friend. Right... Where is he? She remembered him last night emptying her fridge and then slumping on the couch while pouting, trying to convince her to let him sleep next to her because her bed was way more comfy, that she had refused.
