Samiya's pov,

"Assalam walaikum, how are doing mum?" I greeted my mother.

"Walaikum Assalam, I am good. how was your day?"
I had notified her about our schedules to visit the seashore and got her approval as well.

She was the loveliest person. she was considerate, fun-loving and extreme when she needed to discipline any of her children.

"Terrific mum, I got almost chased out by some drunkard."
I knew she will be bothered and I shouldn't have revealed this but she was my mother it was my duty to tell her what happened.

If anything were to happen, she would have been responsible for my demise and I didn't want that.

My father was a strict and disciplined person who expected obedience from us and in return, he could have given a world if we would have asked for it.

He was kind, forgiving,  and intimidating, he was very doting to us, towards his family members.

For me, it was very blissful to have my mum and dad as my besties and they were so much more than regular parents are.

After narrating to her my horrible experiences, she started lecturing me as to why she doesn't permit me to wander out because I am not comfortable and confident enough to sort out problems, facing out of my abode.

Somehow, I distracted her from her nagging and she was quick to forget about it getting busy with household chores.

Pheww!

I thought she would have taken my head, for good today. I removed my sweaty burkha and went to get a shower.

I got into a simple dress suit and went ahead to complete my noon prayers and recited the holy Quran. I heard my mum's call for lunch and jogged down, got settled in my usual place.

While eating, my sister's kept chattering here and there and I was busy comforting my restless and hungry stomach and went to clean the kitchen after lunch.

I have three sisters, one is 18 years old, the other one is around 15 and the last and the most favourite of mine was around 6 year's old.

I am fond of my sister's, whole my life I have just spent with them huddling together, watching funny things like friends do. I wasn't fond of friends much. I would rather have my sister's but after school, it was hard being with them.

They were things couldn't just talk with them and I couldn't help it and end up befriending these 4 girls who are now a beautiful part of my life. I couldn't stop myself from loving them.

After lunch, I just cuddled up, with my spectacles and novel in my laps. I was immersed in it so much that I couldn't heed my youngest sis, sneaking in.

"Aapa! can you play hide and seek with me, nobody likes to play with me."

I was not able to deny her, her not so teary eyes and whining lips in which she was putting so many efforts. I knew her drama and still played along.

"Sure baby, I will love to play with you." I chipped placing my belongings and started playing with her.

After praying, I steered downstairs to make tea for my family. my dad was especially fond of my teas and hence mum will always make me do that.

When I serving everyone, the bell rang indicating my father's arrival. my youngest sister fled to open the door, dare anyone touch the door, she will go insane, crying her eyes out.

We can hear her chatting with my dad from our room. we all headed to do our work that is to tidy up our not so clean house.

My dad wanted to have everything in its place, neat and tidy. he was a person who liked everything organised and in order and we all tried out best to do so.

When he was all stuffed and freshened up, we sat together narrating our activities and fun we had while mum was preparing everything to make dinner.

My dad always loved to hear us and in return, we did the same. he was a good narrator and the thing that he always saw good in everything always brought positivity in me. I try so much to be like him but I knew I was nowhere near his compassionate self.

I helped mum and doing some chores and after dinner, we all headed to pray and from there everyone was back to their respective stuff and beds.

I was awake reading my precious novel and I almost overlooked my bedtime. I was provoked by my lovely novel and looked up to my dad.

He had a frown on his face as usual. he disliked my reading and especially at night he wouldn't let me use my mobile. he cared because of my weak eyesight. he knew I didn't like him being harsh on me but I knew too that it was for my wellbeing only...

Next day

I was awakened by my blaring alarm so I can pray my morning prayer. I dozed off after praying  and woke up around 7 a.m for college again.

I dressed in my burkha, wrap my headscarf and covered my face with a veil in the hope I wasn't late. my friends will be there but like always I was the first one to reach our precious meeting spot.

Jungle!

Nope, this isn't some forest like I mentioned above.it is far from that.it a road where it's both sides are filled up with societies and buildings.

This area is almost dead every time you go there. everything is peaceful here. benches are surrounding some of  these roads, results of  having more than 4-5 colleges in line.

It was good to sit and watch students walking about their classes with books in their hands while sunshine and trees kept the atmosphere more serene and bringing out the positive vibes in us at least, I can't say about other people.

I was getting impatient and late for my classes like I always do and within a minute from four side's my lazy bees came around muttering apologies and excuses which I never heard and mind.

We took off to our classes discussing our work and what will we be  expecting today in class because we were going to have our results today .we were terrified because we had roamed almost every streets and corners this whole year instead of studying.

With a huge prayer in our heart and apologies in our minds, so God can hear us and have some mercy, we entered the battlefield, our classroom.
