The rest of the move went off without much trouble, aside from the passing glances Tord would give to Bruce and vice versa. Thanks to there last conversation, both had grown somehow more spiteful towards each other. This wasn't to the liking of Tom, but he knew that the two couldn't just make up in a day, and now that Bruce was moved in, little quirks of his started shining through.
As most people say, you should always see the best in people, however Tord wasn't this way with Bruce at all. He was expecting dirty dishes lying around, stuff being misplaced, and Bruce just over all being a huge nuisance. However the opposite was true, this being found out during breakfast in the morning. Tom had just finished cooking and was attempting to get Evelyn and Noah fed, however both were being quite difficult. "Why does SHE get more bacon! she's younger than me!" Noah huffed, his mouth full of eggs. "Dada!! Nona's mean!!" Evelyn whined as she kicked her legs, rocking her high chair slightly. Tom went over, holding the chair to be steady, trying to calm his children. "ok both of you that's enough, be nice to each other-!" He said in the stern tone, but the chaos only continued as Noah steals a bacon piece promptly shoving it into his mouth. As soon as he did, Evelyn's eyes filled up with tears, and being the sensitive baby she was, began to cry.
Tom struggled, not having Tord at the breakfast table since he was in an early morning meeting in his office. He couldn't lie, the kids had a better time listening to Tord than himself, so though he tried to get them to stop, it wasn't easy. Tom did his best to calm the two down of course, but no matter what he said, it just felt like he was making things worse! "Noah, apologize-! Evelyn, baby, please calm down- geeze, c'mon you two-?" the kitchen got louder, evelyn's cries and noah's whines filling the room. Tom was slightly stressing out from this, but soon enough he heard the front door open, Bruce announcing he was back, holding a pink box.
Tom looked to him groaning a bit, yelling over to him, "sorry about the noise, i cant get them to calm down!" Bruce closed the door, locking it and walking over into the 'warzone' looking a bit astonished as his impression on the kids were 'little angels' as most people would assume.
He sighs, opening the box he had, revealing a baker's dozen of donuts! "I don't know what's going on, but i do know that if you two calm down, ill let you choose a donut?" He smiled, having a loud but cheery tone. he was nervous as he didn't really know how the kids would react, but he was pleasantly surprised when Noah stopped whining, and Evelyn calmed down a bit herself.
"That's more like it!" bruce chuckled, leaning down with the box in front of the both of them. "pick whichever one you want, I got two of everything, so don't fight if you guys want the same one, alrighty?" Both immediately reached inside, Noah going for Glazed and Evelyn snatching a chocolate one. She whimpered slightly, sniffling to herself as she still wasn't completely over the little argument, but she did smile as she ate the donut. Well, ate as well as a two year old could. Tom sighed in relief, smiling slightly. "thanks Bruce, i usually don't reward there behavior.. but its better than having them break my eardrums." "ah, sorry, i could just.. tell you were stressing out, couldn't just stand there you knOW-" Bruce started, but was cut off by evelyn, who messily grabbed at one of his dreads, tugging on it harshly. She giggled, not realizing what she was really doing.
"Evelyn!" Tom yelled out in response, going and removing her hand from his hair. Evelyn only continues to laugh at this, while Bruce rubbed his head. Just as soon as Tom was about to scold her, Tord had finally joined everyone at the table, walking in whilst yawning. "I'm done with my meeting.... What's going on?" Tom hesitated to respond, "Evelyn is starting to grab at hair again, she pulled on Bruce's dreads" As he expected, tord covers his mouth, turning his head away slightly trying to contain his laughter.
Tom glared whilst going and fixing up two plates, for Tord and Bruce of course. "Be nice." He said in a stern tone, then handed Tord his plate, kissing his cheek "and good morning" Tord smiled, taking the plate giving tom a kiss in return, on the lips of course. There was no way he was gonna let bruce's presence keep him from kissing his husband, though he was rubbing it in a bit with how long he did so. "Good morning to you too my love" He took his seat, greeting his other two babies with a kiss on the forehead for each, then began to enjoy his breakfast. Tom sighed, this was the first morning they all had breakfast together so he was a bit tense. 'Tord seems fine.. and bruce...?" He thought to himself, glancing at bruce only to find him simply washing up the dishes tom had used to cook. He couldn't really get a good look at his face however he seemed to be just not wanting to join in for the time being.
