Main Character Backgrounds

*There will be some triggering topics with some of the character backgrounds, so you will see ⚠️ before and after any triggering topic, so keep your eye out for those if you do not like reading triggering things. Another note, I will not be doing backgrounds for the minor characters since they will only be in the story a few times.*

Jaden Hossler- Jaden has always been one of those boys that will break the rules and bend the truth to get his way. When he first realized that he wanted to pursue a music career, he was brought to the realization that he could not pull all the things he did in high school. He became overwhelmed with trying to change himself instead of his habits, so he fell into what most high school graduates fall into: anxiety and depression. ⚠️Jaden started to harm himself, doing anything he could to release the stress and aggravation he was putting on himself. He was blaming himself for being a disappointment, for failing his fans on all different platforms. When he decided that self-harming was not working, Jaden turned to mixing drugs and alcohol. He found relief and freedom in that and he has had plenty of close calls on overdoses,yet he still does it.⚠️ Along with mixing drugs and alcohol to cope with his anxiety and depression, he gets tattoos all to often. Once his music career takes off and gets a lot of attention, he doesn't really self harm or try any other coping strategies because he is focused on his album. He really doesn't believe in love, but that all changed when he met Emilia...

Emilia Rose Walker- Emilia is from Texas, she was raised on a ranch and basically only ever listened to country music. So when she found out she was moving to Canada for her senior year, she was completely in shock. Not only did she have to leave the place that she called home; she had to leave Tayler. She didn't know what was going to be harder to say good-bye to. Up until the move she had an easy life, everything a girl could ask for. But when she got to Canada she didn't know what to do or how to act, she simply felt out of place there. The first day of her senior year she met Josh, they instantly clicked and became inseparable. Josh got her into different genres of music other than country, but she didn't give up listening to it because that was the only thing that reminded her of her old home and of Tayler. Tayler always told her what a beautiful voice she had, but she never believed him so when she had to move, Emilia decided to pursue music. She took all the music classes she could in Canada and then after she graduated she started posting covers of songs on YouTube. She wanted to stay away from TikTok and Instagram because she knows that those are the platforms that get the most attention, drama, and most importantly that is where the most hate came from. But once she started getting well-deserved attention on YouTube she knew she needed to expand to posting on multiple platforms. After not talking to Tayler in about three months, she reached out to him, and got his help on where to start for expanding her career. From there, she recieved more and more attention and everything was going amazing; that is until she met Jaden Hossler...

Tayler Holder- Tayler has known Emilia since they were little kids, they would play with each other every single day, and they even had swim parties in Tayler's bathtub. They knew each other because their moms were really close and went to school together. Tayler is a very bubbly person, full of crackhead energy. But he is only like that because he went through some dark times as a teenager and never wanted to be that other version of himself ever again. ⚠️Tayler really was a sweet kid, but once he put tons of pressure on himself with school, work, and sports, he really didn't have time to breathe and be a normal kid going out with his friends. To cope, Tayler started sitting in his room for hours; getting high and using intense drugs. One day, his mom walked in on him, and he was barely alive. The day he woke up in the hospital was the day he started changing his bad habits. ⚠️ He went to rehab to get clean, and before anyone knew it, he was focused primarily on his acting career and fully committed to his roles in movies.

Josh Richards- Josh has had a relatively simple life, two parents, really nice and caring siblings, a nice house, and a family in the upper-middle class. Josh moved to LA so he could get away from his family- nothing bad happened, he was just around them way more than he wanted to be. When Josh first moved to LA, he bought an apartment and did YouTube and TikTok to make a little cash. He always knew he wanted to start a company, so Bryce Hall partnered with him, and together, they created Ani Energy, which turned out to be very successful. Since he moved to LA to get a new start, he decided that it would be a perfect time to restore his friendship with Emilia. Josh went to school with Emilia, he was one of her closest friends. During their senior year of high school, something changed between them, and Josh started bullying Emilia over every little thing she did, so their relationship is not so great anymore. But Josh is trying to make it up to her because he realized just how amazing she is and he misses his best friend. Emilia thinks he is just using her for clout now that she is getting recognition for her charities and her growing music career.

Bryce Hall- Bryce is a well-known Party Animal- he even has it tattooed on his thigh. He has never really followed the rules and doesn't care what the consequences are. Bryce could care less about what other people think of him; he does what he wants when he wants to do it. Bryce was one of the founders of SwayLA, he wanted to find other guys that want to have a good time and just live life while living together creating content to earn money. Bryce rolls and smokes a blunt sometimes, but nothing that has ever gotten him in trouble before. If anything, it's his drinking that has gotten him in trouble. He has been in about half a dozen fights since he moved to LA, he has anger issues that he can't always control. 

Quinton Griggs- *Quinton's background is not too in depth with the others because most of his background will be revealed throughout the story while he is helping Emilia with her problems and struggles* Quinton was a shy person when he first became famous. He didn't really like the fame at first because he gathered his fame relatively quick, which didn't give him enough time to adjust. Quinton laid low for a good three months before talking to anyone and making any friends. Deep down, Quinton was terrified of being famous because every move he made was going to be monitored and judged. He was scared about what his fans and reporters  were going to find out about his past. He has many secrets that he would be torn apart for if anyone found out about them. The only person he could trust with them was Emilia. Their friendship was one that everyone wanted. It was one of those friendships where everyone thought they were dating- even Nessa and Tayler thought so at first.

Nessa Barrett- Like Jaden, Nessa has always been a rebel and a bit "broken" as people would call her. She had a tough four years in high school with people constantly bullying her and making her think she would never be good enough to be successful. Things for Nessa were especially hard when the kids at her school found out she would be moving to LA to pursue music after graduating. She met Emilia and for the first time, Nessa could actually trust a girl. It was hard for her at first but Emilia helped her through it and they became really close; telling each other basically everything(....but little did Emilia know that Nessa had a very big secret she was keeping from her) and supporting each other in everything they do. After Nessa started getting attention from her fans, TikTok, and Instagram, she was the one to convince Emilia to create an account to spark her fame as well, because if there was anyone Nessa would want to be famous with; it was definitely Emilia.
