She sat down by the glossy lake, her reflection waving and dancing in the water lightly lapping at the damp grass. She admired her reflection, watching her ashy brown hair flow gently in the breeze. She saw herself begin to smile, which put a smile on her face. Still admiring her reflection, her smile grew, but then she noticed something... odd to say the least.

She could feel her smile, which quickly turned to a frown, get bigger, but the reflection's smile didn't grow..? Even stranger, it was still smiling and she recognised that it's eyes were shining with despair and hatred. She reached her hand out toward the reflection and she was launched backwards, getting winded as she smashed against a tree which nearly fell over from the impact. She fell and knelt down, trying to not collapse from the extreme pain she was in. She felt her muscles begin shaking and it was now a fight to stand up. She saw a shadow looming over her so she used the last ounces of her strength to look up, and when she did her eyes widened in terror and she felt something hard hit her head.

The impact was so hard that she felt her eyes closing and blotches of black appeared in her vision. She struggled and struggled to stay up but the pain and strain on her muscles was too much so she collapsed.

The cheerful world she was in a few moments ago had disappeared.

The only thing she could see was the echoing void of darkness.

And with that, she lost consciousness.
