Sour lovers (Lemon Demon x Lila)

Lila walked around in a unfamiliar forest, focused on going back home. Twigs snapping, trees creaking, leaves falling; All these noises set her on edge. Without noticing, a shadow loomed over her.

Turning around, she looked up to see the horrifying face of Lemon Demon. She screamed but her vision suddenly blacked out and she couldn't scream anymore.

Gasping and panting, she jerked herself awake, looking around frantically and gripping onto the covers with all her might. She soon noticed Skid was standing beside the bed.

"Mum are you alright? You were screaming and mumbling in your sleep!" - S

"Y-Yeah, I'm okay." - L

"Good, because we need to go to the park with Lemon!!" - S

"We? Is P-" - L

Pump randomly appeared beside Skid, having an overjoyed expression and jumping up and down, shaking his arms around in the air.

"HI SKID'S MOM!!" - P

"Hi, Pump.." - L

Lila got up, sliding into her slippers and reaching for her phone to check the time.

"What the- Guys, it's one in the morning, why are either of you awake...?" - L

"WE'RE GETTING EVERYTHING READY FOR LEMON!!" - S, P

"AND I'M MAKING A CAKE!" - P

"A... cake?" - L

"Yeah! Also, flour and eggs are required for cake. I found that out myself!" - P

"I- O-Okay." - L

Lila turned off the phone and stood, walking out of the room and beckoned Skid and Pump to follow her. When she went downstairs she was not at all surprised that there was a mess of a cake on the counter and the oven was on fire. Calmly, she just grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the fire. In the corner of her eye she spotted Pump and Skid holding a bag of lemons like they were babies.

"Uh... Kids, you know those lemons aren't-" - L

"How do we know if these aren't just Lemon's babies?" - P

"Mhm, makes sense." - S

Lila slowly nodded, just grabbing the 'cake', about to throw it away until Pump grabbed her arm.

"Don't." - P

"Oh. Okay..."

Pump grabbed a lemon and gently placed it onto the cake.

"Eat up, Lemon's baby." - P

She scooted away from Pump and looked around.

"So, you guys hung up the Hallow-"

"Spooky month." - S, P

"Oh- Sorry. You guys hung up the Spooky Month decorations?" - L

"Yeah! Since Lemon is spooky we thought he should be welcomed with spooky decorations!" - S

Out of nowhere, knocking came from the door, making Lila scream randomly. Lemon Demon swung open the door without even waiting for someone to allow him and he walked in.

"You should wait for someone to open it for you, you know." - L

"Okay?" - LD

Skid and Pump started screaming excitedly and ran outside in full speed. Even Lemon Demon looked confused but he kind of just slowly followed after. Lila speed walked and stayed in front of him so she can watch the kids and make sure he can't get to them.

After a while of walking, they finally arrived at the park. She was still questioning to herself why she was taking Skid and Pump to a park at 1 AM but she knew people do weirder things than this. Sitting down on a bench, she watched Skid and Pump show Lemon Demon a pigeon that just stared at them.

"That's a pigeon! One time me and Skid gave one a mask for Spooky Month!" - P

"And after that, we found the pigeon sleeping on the sidewalk!" - S

Lila watched them talk about random objects and tell Lemon Demon weird things they've done. She slowly closed her eyes accidently falling asleep.

There were very quiet voices while she slept.

"Isn't this game fun?!"

"What's the point of the game..?"

"You watch her till she wakes up and it's all fuunnnnyy-"

Her eyes slowly opened and she woke up to see Skid, Pump, AND Lemon Demon in her face. Inhaling, she sighed, laughing.

"Lemon has proved his innocence." - P

"He got us a box of candy cans for FREE!!" - S

"How?" - L

"Lemon walked in and the candy man threw all the candy cans at us!" - P

Lila chuckled, patting Skid and Pump on the head.

"You guys gonna eat that all by yourselves?" - L

She looked up at Lemon Demon, his smile was way more welcoming than usual. She reached into the box and looked at the candy can. Lila slowly handed it over to him.

His smile widened, and he took it and then ate the candy whole, clearly not understanding that he had to take the wrapper off.

Lila, Pump, and Skid all looked at each other, paused, and bursted out into laughter. Lemon Demon joined in as well but his laugh echoed and sounded extremely demonic.

"Alright... We'll need to fix that." - L

Skid gasped quietly and nudged Pump.

"We forgot to give him his phone!" - S

"Oh yea!!" - P

Skid casually grabbed a phone out of his pocket that had lemon stickers all over it.

"Wait where'd you get a phone?" - L

"We went into the phone store too and they threw a phone at us! I wonder why everyone's giving us free stuff." - P

Meanwhile, Lila looked over at Lemon Demon, who was slapping the phone and flipping it over.

"How does this work?" - LD

Skid and Pump gladly showed him how to open the phone, text, and anything else important.

"This is how you call someone! You press this button anddd" - S

Lila jumped when her phone began to ring and she looked at it, answering it. Grinning, she proceeded to speak.

"Hello, who's there?" - L

From the phone, "Hi" - S

Skid hung up quickly and shoved the phone back into Lemon Demon's hands. Lemon Demon tapped the screen multiple times and ended up messaging something to Lila.

She checked to see the text, 'hEY IS THIS LlLA'.

Lila snickered and looked up at Lemon Demon.

"Yes, it's me." - L

Lemon Demon grinned.

~ Time Skip - 10 minutes later ~

Lila, Skid, Pump, and Lemon Demon were now walking back to the house. Lemon Demon had Skid and Pump hanging onto his legs while he walked.

Lila smiled, looking at the kids and then up at Lemon Demon. Now that she has gotten used to him, she sees he's not that all scary.
