No one can see what future is coming ahead, well I thought I did.. but it all took an unexpected turn, let's start at the beginning of my story.
As every day of the year, I would practice piano for hours, till I had the feeling that my fingers would fall off, I only did it so I could make my parents proud and I would have my time in the spotlight next to my younger sister. I played and played and played till diner, every family member was already sitting at the table, they were laughing, smiling, making jokes and did not even notice I walked in. I took a seat next to Katherine and started eating, still, no one noticed me like I was invisible. After a couple of minutes, I was done with diner and went straight back to my room, tomorrow is my birthday how would they even remember that if they didn't even see me while the diner, it upsets me, I never got any attention of my parents since Clementine was born. Even as a kid they wouldn't notice me, not only while diner, so I would do things to make me noticed, what did not work, the things I learned in a week of studying every day Clementine did in a day, so at the end of the day, she would be the one that my parents would give love. Don't get me wrong I love my sister, she is so generous and kind-hearted, she wouldn't even hurt a fly, but I would love to get some attention to, even if it's just a little bit. I wanted to undress un till my doors went open and someone walked in, he closed the door behind him and walked up to me, I have never been so scared in my life but my legs were fully frozen so I couldn't make a move. He does his cap down and all the scary feelings turned into happy feelings, it was my love, James. He lifted me up, then his soft strawberry lips reached mine for around a minute until broke it, "What are you doing here?! You know you can't be here, my parents would kill the both of us if they know." we sit down on my bed if we do that I know things are getting serious, "Neve I can't do this anymore, I want you to be my wife for the rest of our lives, I know you want it to, otherwise you would just have pushed me away." I could see that he was serious, I could not only see it but also feel it, "You know I'm not ready for marriage, I am only fifteen years old, James." The tears wanted to roll over my cheeks, just a little longer, if I give up that would be a sign of weakness. "I'm sorry Neveah but this, this is over." he walks out of the chamber and slams the door, he was out of my sight so I start crying in silence, he was the only thing I had that my sister didn't, now I had nothing. My maids come into my room and start helping me getting into my sleeping gown, the tears were still running over my cheeks but none of them asked why I was crying, I went into bed and got myself crying into sleep. The next morning I woke up, with a terrible feeling in my belly, as all the sadness drowned in there. As I expected no one came into my room to celebrate my birthday, they probably don't even know or they do but just don't care. I put on my white morning heels and go to the dining room, as always everyone is already there, "Neveah you're finally here, we have great news to tell you." Did, my father just talked to me? Did he remember my birthday? "Your sister is going to marry!" he said with great joy in his eyes. "Wich one, father? Katherine or Eleanor?" I asked with my soft voice. "No not one of them, Clementine is going to marry." Clementine is going to marry?! She is only thirteen years old, she is just a child! But instead of that the only thing that came out of my mouth was "Oh really, I'm happy for you Clem. May I ask, who the lucky one is?" As soon that words left my mouth I already regretted it, "Prince James of Scotland, my little princess is going to be a queen." I was standing there with my eyes full of tears and my mouth full of words, he asked my sister to marry him after he said to me that he wanted me to be his wife and be together for the rest of our lives.
