"What do you think she's trying to do? Tell us something?" Liz asked, sitting next to Kid on his bed. He ran his hands through his hair and sighed.

"Maybe. We'll just have to look out for more of those litle lights," Kid answered, trying to remember what the little blue light looked like. Trying to remember the presence it brought.

"Are we gonna tell Soul?" Patty asked, bug eyed. Kid shook his head.

"There had to be a reason she came to us and not him. Maybe this would be too much for him to handle. We keep this between us at all costs, alright? She could be trying to tell us something." The other two agreed, nodding their heads.

"So, tomorrow night..." Black*Star started, tossing the ball to Kid. "How do we find this witch of lost souls and memories or whatever it's called?"

"I've been doing research on her. She's a witch that lives right outside the border of the city. Not too far south of here. Stories of other miesters who've traveled down there all end badly. She's a very dangerous witch. She can control your mind or erase your memory, make you forget who you are, what you're doing," Kid said, passing the ball to Soul, who caught it with a grin.

"We aren't looking to kill her. We just need this last thing so we can bring Kuro back. We'll let someone like Stein handle a witch with those kind of powers." Soul tosses the ball to Maka.

"We want to avoid a fight at all costs," Maka chimed in. She bounced the mall roughly to Liz.

"You don't think all of us can handle one witch?" Liz asked, bouncing the ball. She tossed it to Patty who tossed it to Tsubaki.

"I just don't think it'd be a good idea for us to attack. We may never get what we need from her if we do. We have to take Kuro into consideration," Tsubaki answered while taking the shot and making it into the hoop.

"Tsubaki is right. We do whatever the witch wants - within a reasonable manner - and get the hell out of there. Alright?" Soul said, catching the ball as it fell through the hoop.

"This was a nice game of catch, but I think it's about time we get ready to leave. We don't know what this witch is capable of," Soul said, breaking the circle and grabbing the basketball, placing it between his arm and his hip. "We'll meet at my house again tonight. Eight o' clock. Don't be late," he stipulated sternly. Everyone watched as he walked away. No one knew Soul to be the punctual type - at all - so his demeanor was quite a shock to them.

He felt bad as he and his two weapons closed in on Soul and Maka's apartment complex. She was his sister after all. Why didn't he have that same fire-burning passion that Soul had when it came down to Kuro? Liz caught his unwavering gaze and raised a concerned brow. "Are you ok, Kid?" she asked, catching Patty's attention as well.

"It's nothing," Kid said, raising his head, letting the light from the crescent moon reflect in his honey golden eyes.
