My wolf was growling at me for letting our mate come and fight. But I have to. This is her destiny and she has the powers. We were currently with our allies who got here surprisingly fast. All the males with the exception of kat and like 20 of our female warriors were here. Getting ready to fight. We knew the rogues were close. The young boy said they were in the forest near a clearing. We decided to place ourselves in the clearing. We then saw a lot of shadowy figures come out of the forest. They’re here.

They stopped walking when we could see their faces. I gasped at what I saw. So did kat. I also noticed that once she saw who was there, she started to cry.

It was her mother, brother and father. They were leading the group.

‘ my family and best friend is there.’ She said in my mind.

What best friend?

‘ he was my best friend before I moved his name is, Lucas Brown. Hes the one beside my brother.’ She explains sadly. I just nod and observe her family.

Hwo could they do this to her? This is maybe why they didn’t call. This is why he didn’t want her near me. But her father? I cant believe they made her think he was dead.

I hear my mate sob.

" HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME? DID YOU EVER EVEN LOVE ME?" she yells at the top of her lungs. Her mothers eyes soften, but her father, borthers and friends eyes still glare at her.

" I only wanted you Katherine. I wanted you to take the heir of my rogue kingdom. But you had to go with that, thing." Her father states while pointing to me.

" why me?" she cries out in distress.

" your brother cant shift. But its to late now, my dear. You made your choice. You chose death over a kingdom. If only you would’ve just stayed with your brother and mother for the night. It’s a shame really. You and your powers could’ve been of great use." He says evilly.

" what are the others purpose here? Like my mother or brother or lucas? And how did you know I had powers?"

" lucas is a hunter. Your mother and brother are going to help fight. And I have my ways, sweetie." He explains while smirking. Her mother still held sad eyes. I don’t think she wants to be here.

I tell all my fighters not to hurt her mother through the pack link.

" please don’t do this father." Kat begs.

" to late. ATTACK!" he shouts. All hell broke loose.

People started to attack. There was people in wolf form and others in human form. I was currently my midnight black wolf. I was snapping at the neck of a beige coloured rogue. Then I snapped his neck.

I noticed one of my female fighters was trying to fight off two grey rogues who had her pinned down in human form. I ran as fast as I could but didn’t make it on time. They had snapped her neck… I heard the painful howl of her mate. She had a mate and pups. I knew her mate is slowly dying. It hurts a lot losing your other half. But I seen him still fighting.
