They had the best time together. They laughed, they talked, they ate and with everything in between, they had the perfect summer evening. They stayed there till the moon came, with the light shining on them, Megan helped Damon pick up their picnic. They walked back to the boarding house and put everything away.
"Megan come with me." he said, going towards the long hallway to his bedroom.
He grabbed her hand and started going down the hallway. He closed the door to his room and paused for a moment. They gazed into each other's eyes . Damon pulled Megan forward, lifted her up in his arms, and placed her on the bed kissing Megan all over, not knowing what would happen next.
The kissing became more intense in the moment, this went on for a few minutes, until they heard banging on his bedroom door. Megan nor Damon said anything,
"Megan! I know you're in there, Stefan told me. Come home now, before this gets ugly!"
"No-no Alex please! I can't go back there! I belong here, with Damon!" Megan said, holding Damon's arm, not wanting to let go.
"You are my sister! I can't let you stay with the enemy! Their Family betrayed us, I can't expect you to do the same" Alex said with anger!
"But I love him! We,"she paused "We plan to get married!" Megan said looking back at the door then back at Damon.
"That monster's son proposed!" Alex barged into the room and grabbed Megan by the arm.
"Alexander please don't do this, we can work it out!" said Damon grabbing Megan's other arm,
"Alexander, please don't do this to me, I agree with Damon, we can make it work but if you would just list-"
"No Megan, we are leaving this house this instant! And as your guardian I ban you from this house, and you will never see Damon Salvatore again! His father killed both our parents, and I, I mean we can't trust them! " said Alex holding back any emotion.
Alex pushed and pulled her away from Damon. But when Megan tried to pull away, Alex would hit her. Damon almost had her in his reach, but Alex kicked him hard to the ground running out of the house with his sister. As soon as Damon got back to his feet, Alex and Megan were already halfway in the carriage. She tried to get out but Alex had locked her in the carriage as if a spell was cast to keep her in. Damon ran after her but it was too late, they were gone, out of sight.
"MEGAN!" Damon cried out but no one heard him.
