Rose awoke with dull throbbing in her head. Training with Arcturus was tiring and she was beginning to wonder why she even chose a sword to be her melee weapon in the first place. She looked over to find Lucas sprawled out on his bed, practically falling off it.

Devon was sitting on the edge of his bed, tapping away at a tablet while Alyssa and Eune were no where to be found.

"Hey Devon?"

"What's up?" He asked, not looking away from his screen.

"Where'd Alyssa and Eune go?" She asked.

"They left early this morning for some extra magic lessons with Desir. They should be back soon."

"How early is early? We usually wake up at four in the morning."

"Dunno, it was probably around two if I had to guess." He shrugged.

"Damn."

"You should probably wake him up." Devon said, pointing at Lucas. She looked back at Lucas, shaking her head.

"You're closer, you do it." She said, laying back down.

"I think he'd like it. So you do it." Devon said with a smirk.

"He what? What are you talking about Dev?"

He put his tablet down on his bed and leaned back. "I'm sayin' that he'd like having you wake him up is all. Why not give him what he wants?"

She quirked an eyebrow at him before groaning in annoyance. "Fine, I'll do it." She said as she got out of bed. Lucas was nearly off his bed until Rose shoved him onto the floor, jolting him awake.

"Wha? Huh? I'm up! I'm up! I'm not over sleeping ma'am! I swear!" He groggily said.

"Then get your ass off the floor Lucas." Rose giggled. He snapped his head up at the sound her voice and bounced to his feet. "O-Oh, h-hey Rose! I didn't know you were here. Where's Aesir?" He asked worriedly.

"Aesir isn't here, I woke you up."

He looked dumbfounded as the realization dawned on him. "Oh. W-Well, thank you. I appreciate it." He stuttered.

Devon burst out laughing at the two of them, nearly falling off his own bed.

"What's so funny?!" Lucas demanded. "You, you're supposed to be our tank and here you are, getting all flustered cause Rose woke you up! Hahaha! I didn't think you'd be that happy she did so! Haha!"

Lucas crossed his arms and grumbled to himself. Rose covered her mouth to stop the laughter that was starting to creep its way out.

The door opened letting Alyssa and Eune into the barracks. "I told you she'd be hard on us." Eune said, rubbing his arm.

Alyssa rolled her eyes with a groan. "Of course she was gonna be hard on us! That's just how she is! She's nearly as bad as Aesir! I'm so done with her! I'm done with everyone here!" Alissa said, flopping on to her bunk.

"Does that mean you're done with us?" Devon jokingly asked.

"No, not really. I'm just done with being shoved around because I can't do something perfectly or as grand as Rose or Lucas. It's not my fault magic is a pain in my ass! Don't even get me started on Arcturus. I swear he won't stop until I pass out." She said in frustration. Devon looked to Eune for clarification.

"She's saying that she believes that, with how well Rose and Lucas have been doing, that they're comparing her successes and failures to them. She also thinks that she must on par with both you because of them." Eune said, sitting next to Alyssa.
