Jade pov:
I hummed along to good days by Sza blasting in my ears as I made my way to fifth period. Today went by surprisingly fast. I couldn't wait to get home, binge watch Criminal Minds and eat cold stone.
I made my way up to the back of the classroom and sat in my seat. I took out my earphones and placed them inside of my backpack while taking out my history notebook and homework.
I watched as students came into the classroom loudly, joking around, and doing dumb shit. While Ms.Harris our history teacher sighed and shook her head. Probably questioning why she ever decided to become a teacher.
"Okay everyone settle down. Take out your history notebook and homework from last Friday please!" Ms.Harris shouted.
I felt my stomach cramp up and immediately raised my hand. "Yes, Ms.Morrison what can I do for you?" She questioned annoyedly. "Bathroom please." she sighed and nodded towards the door.
I quickly made my way out the classroom to the bathroom. I sighed of relief after making sure I wasn't on my period. According to my tracker it's approaching and my first day is always my heaviest day so I'm not taking any chances. I put on a pad because I'll most likely be coming on later today anyways and began to make my way back to class.
As I entered the class I heard Ms.Harris talking, "Okay class now that you have all chosen your partners" Ms.Harris glanced over at me "Ms.Morrison you'll be with our new student Mr.Romano." She said dismissively as she pointed her finger towards the boy I quickly recognized as Ashton.
I sighed to myself and made my way back to my seat while Ms.Harris explained the project. "So these partners that I have assigned to you guys will be your partners for this entire semester. I don't want to hear any complaints. If you're partner does not contribute to participating in the workload with you then please email me and we will sort things out."
Did I want to work with a partner for this semester? No. But I wasn't going to complain about it. Working with others is a skill I might need to utilize in my future so why not get more practice.
Class went by unusually fast but hey I'm not complaining. I placed my history books in my backpack, my headphones in my ears, and made my way out of the classroom. As I was walking I felt my headphone yanked out of my ear "Hey what the fuck is your problem?" I turned and shouted at the ass wipe that yanked my earphone out. Ashton. The ass wipe is Ashton.
"Good afternoon to you to fidget." Ashton said to me humorously. "Good afternoon my ass leave me alone you're disturbing my peace." I huffed out as I proceeded to make my way to lunch with slight discomfort in my right ear since he yanked the earbud so harshly.
"Wait up I'm sorry okay" Ashton chuckled "It's just I'm new here and you're the only one I know. There's no need to get your panties in a twist which I would love to see by the way." He said whispering the last part in my ear.
I rolled my eyes as Ashton followed behind me like a lost puppy. "Oh really the hot, tall, nice build guy can't make any friends?" I questioned
"Hot? You think I'm hot? I mean not surprised but you seem like the type of girl who can't give out compliments." I rolled my eyes and shrugged my shoulders at his response.
"I love how you completely ignored my question and then proceeded to question my ability to compliment others. But since I'm assuming you haven't made any friends I'll introduce you to mine" I said annoyedly as we walked into the cafeteria.
"Hey Jade who's this?" Liv questioned as me and Ashton sat down at the uncomfortable cafeteria table. "Guys this is Ashton. Ashton this is Malik, Olivia my best friend, and her boyfriend Jason.
Malik is a sort of mutual friend of ours. My mom and his mom were close friends so we've always know each other and would occasionally engage in conversation plus he was really close with Jason and any friend of Jason's was a friend of Liv's.
"So how do you like the school so far?" Liv questioned. Ashton shrugged his shoulders "It's cool I guess everyone seems chill." We all erupted into laughter at Ashton's response. "Chill? Clarkson High? I wish man. This school has a new scandal each week." Jason said humorously.
"Speaking of scandal, did you guys hear about who recently got fired?" Malik questioned as he raised a brow. We all turned to look at him. "No who?" Liv asked impatiently. "Mr.Stevenson!" Ashton taped my leg under the table obtaining my attention.
For the first time today I actually looked at him. Even though I've been around him all day I've only glanced at him. He's dressed in a vintage black Nike sweatshirt with a white collared shirt underneath, black baggy jeans, white air forces, and a gold cross chain.
He had these pretty pink lips that I just want to- "jade who's Mr.Stevenson?" Ashton whispered to me, pulling me out of my trance. "Huh? Oh he's the attractive tenth grade English teacher." Ashton nods his head and turns back to engage in the conversation.
"So what'd this Mr.Stevenson get fired for?" Ashton asked Malik. "Get this he was fucking a student" Malik said popping a soggy french fry into his mouth. "Who is she?" Malik shook his hand at my question. "Not a she but a he." All of our eyes went wide.
"Say sike right now I thought he was happily married!" Liv screeched. "Is he getting arrested I mean he's like 29 and he slept with a child." Jason said.
"Dunno apparently the boy was a senior so he could've been 18." Ashton chuckled "well I take back what I said about this being a chill school." The school bell rang. Liv stood up and gave me a kiss on the cheek "meet in the parking lot in the school after class?"
"I'll be there." I shouted. As she, Jason, and Malik began to exit the cafeteria. I would walk with them but I need a little music in my life before my next stressful class. As I began to stand up from my seat Ashton discreetly grabs my arm and pulls me back to sit down.
He grabs my left earphone out my ear and begins to whisper something to me. "Don't think I didn't notice you staring at me earlier fidget." I instantly felt embarrassed. I didn't think he noticed that. Refusing to let it show I rolled my eyes and began to stand up ignoring the way his words went straight to my core. I barely even know this boy but everything feels so natural around him what the hell.
He yanked my arm and pulled me back down gently how the others went recognizing this. I have no idea maybe it was because they were too interested in their own conversations.
Refusing to be pushed around I placed my hand on his upper thigh. He immediately tensed up and tightened his hold on my arm. I scoffed lightly and brought my lips to his ear. "Don't think I didn't noticed how you just tensed up when I only touched your thigh. I'm beginning to wonder if something else is up as well." I whispered seductively in his ear.
Leaving him in a state of shock I got up and made my way to last period with a smirk on my face. If he thinks for a second whispering in my ear is going to get a serious reaction out of me he's very mistaken.
