"I'd like to change my name." "What name would you like dear?" An old whispery voice sounded out, "Samantha Tylie." "A wonderful name, I'm sure you'll enjoy it." The old wrinkled lady said as she pushed the stamp onto the official looking document. Its done. Patricia Morgans was no more, and there was Samantha Tylie.
A month passes.
Finally after deciding what to do next, Samantha arranged to be enrolled in Merries High School, walking towards the school, fond memories of her past started to fade back into her. Instead of comforting her, tears strickled down her cheeks as those memories continued to haunt her. "Hey. Are you gonna be ok?" Looking up, Samantha saw a young blonde haired girl looking at her about four feet away, I'm fine, go away. Was what she wanted to say, but obviously, her better nature got her to say "Yeah, its ok. Just pondering about some.. past things, ya know?" As they walked into the school, they talked and Samantha realised how much they had in common, however, the past wasn't so easy to forget.
In the principal's office
"Welcome to Merries High School, I hope you excel in your academics." The young, smartly dressed principal said, sitting in front of the desk was a name card with the words 'Principal Ryan' etched on, plated in fake gold.
High hopes in mind, Samantha Tylie stood with confidence as her new life began.
