Bokuto's POV

*Ring ring* I know I should get up. I have practice today. *Ring ring* I got up, shoving my blanket off of me and grabbed my phone. Akaashi? I smiled, looking at 2 missed calls from the raven haired male. I unlocked my phone and decided to call him back.

"Hello?" A raspy voice sounded from the other side.

He sounds sick? I glanced at the time. 7:46 AM. "Agaashiii! How are you?" I replied, getting out of bed.

Akaashi's voice sounded better this time. "Bokuto-san, hey." There was a pause. "Oh I'm okay, just tired. Its early."

"Speak for yourself, you called me two times." I laughed.

     Another pause.

"Akaashi?" I said, noticing the pause. I ran my fingers through my hair, waiting for him to speak. "Are you okay?"

"Oh, yeah. I'm okay Bokuto-san, I need to get ready for morning practice. I'll see you later!" His voice sounded cheery on the last sentence.

That was weird. I'll talk to him once we get to practice. I shrugged it off and smiled as I got ready.

~Timeskip~

"Anahori! That set was too high!" I whined. Akaashi still hadn't arrived yet. Its been 30 minutes... where is he...? I stepped back, ready to try to spike another set.

"Sorry I'm late!" A voice sounded in the back of the gym as the door shut.

"Agaashiiii~" I let the 'i' stretch out for a couple seconds. "Why are you late?" I ran up to him and wrapped my arms around my friend, enclosing him in a hug. Akaashi only smiled. It was a weak smile.

Akaashi's POV

"Bokuto-san! How are you?" I try to make my voice cheerful. Thats too cheerful, Keiji. "Sorry about being late, I ran out to get breakfast." Bokuto nodded, not noticing my fake happiness. Why would he care anyway?

Bokuto noticed my sudden mood change. "Is something wron-" He was cut off by our coach. Thank you. I sighed in relief. He couldn't find out. Not right now.

"Stop chatting ladies! Bokuto, go practice your spikes. You may be the ace but that doesn't mean you can slack off!" Our coach scolded the owl haired boy.

"Sorry.." Bokuto muttered as he walked slowly back onto the court.

"Oh Kotarou.. never a dull moment with you.."
