Chapter 6: A Chance?

(Y/N) POV

We both stayed here for a while, staring up at the stars. I don't know if Frisk, Toriel, or Papyrus knows we're here.

I looked over at Chara to see a smile on her face. She didn't notice me staring though.

I pulled out my phone to check the time.

8:21 PM

I still got time. I can stay here a bit longer before I have to go.

Before that, there's been many questions I've had. How long have these Monsters been here? I know I haven't asked that before, but now I'm curious.

And the fact that not one, but two Humans live with them? There must be a connection with Frisk and Chara living with the Monsters, and maybe Chara can answer a few of my questions since she's with me right now.

"Hey, Chara?" I said and she turned to me. "I have some... questions to ask."

Chara had a curious expression.

"About what?" Chara asked.

"About... the Monsters and how they got here."

Chara's face was blank. She didn't even looked surprised.

"I should've known..." Chara said and sighed. "Do you really want to know?"

Do I want to know? Yes. I honestly never knew about Monsters until now. And the fact that two Humans live with them? I have to know.

I took a deep breath and said... yes. She nodded in response.

Long ago, two Races ruled over Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS.

One Day, War broke out between the two Races.

After a long Battle, the Humans were victorious.

They sealed the Monsters underground with a Magic Spell.

"You should know that first." Chara said. "Do you want to know the rest?"

I hesitated before nodding yes. I checked the time to see that it was only 8:23. Before she could start, a voice was heard from the window. 

It was Frisk.

"Hey you two." Frisk said to us both.

"What do you want?" Chara said slightly annoyed.

"C'mon Chara, just let me join." Frisk said. "Sides, we're going to have to sleep soon."

Huh, was their bedtime at 9 or something? Maybe, because that's also my bedtime. 

Frisk joined us both to look at the stars. Guess the Story will have to wait then.

Me and Chara were still looking up at the stars while Frisk had gone inside already. I checked the time to see that it was getting late, meaning that I need to head back home soon.

"Hey Chara?" I said, making her turn to me.

"Yeah?" Chara responded. She doesn't seem to be aggressive towards me anymore.

"I need to go now, it's getting pretty late." I said and showed her the time on my phone.

As I got up, Chara went with me too. It seemed like she wanted to say something.
