Chapter 4

The Trolls all went and were staying in a tree stump while they discovered to find out what they were gonna do. Branch looked at the Trolls then at the leaders

"Guys-"

"Branch! What are we gonna do?!" Trollex asked

"I don't know but-"

"Well we have to do somethin! Somethin's wrong with Barb and we're out here hidin!!" Delta said

"We can't just go out into danger." Quincy said

"Branch..." They heard Cybil say

Cybil came over to them with Leo by his side. Leo looked so scared, holding Cybil's hand, hiding behind him

"Cybil." Branch said

"What are we gonna do? I have to keep Leo safe.." Cybil said

"I don't know, but..."

Branch began to think. He looked at Cybil then down to Leo as the poor thing was shaking in fear

"W-where's mom?..." Leo asked

Cybil crouched down to Leo's height and moved his hair out to his face to make an attempt to calm him down

"Mom had to run off to get away from those bad people." Cybil said

"But Cousin Barb... she was very green.." Leo said

"That wasn't Barb." Branch said

"W-what?" Leo asked

"Her grandfather took her over." Branch said

Leo felt like crying. What did that person in Barbs body want with her? Why? Where was his mom? Where was Sparky?

Branch saw Leo crying and sighed. He saw Carol looking out of a hole in the stump and went and sat beside her

"You ok?" Branch asked

"I don't know.." Carol said

"I noticed that you've been kind of distant since yesterday. What did he say to you?!" Branch asked worried

"N-nothing." Carol said

"That's not true. You've been more closed off then usual. Did he something?" Branch asked

"Just- he was flirting with me at first, then he went and said Barb was never coming back, and that she knows the truth and doesn't love me anymore!" Carol said

"What truth?" Branch asked

"About us not caring for her.." Carol said

"That's not true... we care a lot about Barb." Branch said

"She was waiting an entire week Branch. Just for us, but we never showed up! She must've been so miserable... waiting just for us!.." Carol said

"We were getting ready. Flame doesn't know what he's talking about." Branch said

"That's what I said, but then Flame said if we really cared we would've been looking a long time ago." Carol said

Branch looked at her and saw how hurts Carol was. Whatever Flame said really got to her. None of it was true. They were scared and trying to prepare for their search

"Saying that Barb had to be boy instead, calling her a filthy, weak, and disgusting queen. I said Barb was perfect just the way she was, but he said if she was strong she wouldn't have been broken. Saying she was an awful queen who didn't listen." Carol said

"Barb was sensitive and he took advantage of that. He might have broken her, but we'll bring her back." Branch said

Carol looked at him

"How?" Carol asked

"By finding Sparky. They're both extremely close if anyone can bring Barb back, it's Sparky. Don't worry little sister, we'll get Barb back." Branch said

Poppy was sitting with Hickory, trying to figure out what to do. Then Hickory suddenly got an idea and explained it to Poppy.

What if an extinct tribe was still in hiding

Sorry for the short chapter. My powers out and I didn't want to update till I knew my phone was ok, but it is! I found a portable charger so I'll be using that to charge my phone
