The perfect love story is all I want, thinks Hannah it's her first year back in school after the whole pandemic. High school is a fresh new start, a new chapter in my life, a new me. She thinks to herself while waiting for the bus with her headphones on listening to her playlist on shuffle. Hannah isn't a fan of dating and having a boyfriend but she's always wanted a love story like in the movies and tv shows even though she doesn't believe in love. Her parents were never in love so she was always surrounded by the 10s of 100s of arguments they have a day. Plus every relationship she's been in she's always lost feelings. So she just gave up on love and focused more on school and her friends. Until last year.
Monkey: where are you I'm dying here
Me: I just got on the bus ill be there soon what happened with Jerry?
Monkey: I don't even know where he is just hurryyy.

She gave up so much for a boy she dated for six months last year, thinking they would be together forever. He ended things with her, saying he had lost interest in her, but she believes he was unable to keep a relationship. He's still in her life after 4 months, but not in the way she would like. She is still in love with him, but she has no idea what he wants from her, so her love life is confusing. He texts her every day he called her every day. He is already in a new relationship, but she isn't. He also goes to the same high school as her, this year is going to be hell for her.

"hey the bus was taking a long time, you find jerry yet?"
"no, he said he woke up late"

"right he's an idiot, lets go we have to go to the assembly"

"did you not read the papers they mailed?"

"you dumbass, the assemble is where we're going to get out schedules and learn the rules and shit" Arya shakes her head in disappointment

Arya is Hannah's best friend since 6th grade, they have been on and off but are always there for each other. Jerry their best friend that they met last year all three of them were placed in the same class and got close through discord now they all have to go through a new high school together. So does Hannah's ex...
*they both walk into the auditorium*
Hannah spots him, sitting alone on his phone wearing his AirPods.
"common Hannah, Kalebs already moved on you have to as well now," said Arya while pulling Hannah to a seat.
"I know I'm trying but you've seen these kids plus what if he decides to come back"
"if he decides to do that then you can break up with whoever you're dating at the time and get with him"
"but then that would break the other person's heart"
"then don't date anyone and get your shit together Hannah"
"I hate my life"
"I would too if I were you"
"shut the fuck up."
during the assembly Hannah couldn't keep her eyes off of him. But of course he never noticed her he's was just off texting on his phone.

After they broke up they still kept in contact but he got with "the girl best friend" while Hannah just tried to get over it all.
Kaleb: are you at the assembly?
Me: yea a few rows behind you
*he turns around to look for her*
Kaleb: ahh I see you
Kaleb: this is boring
Me: ikr
Me: someone needs to shut her up
Kaleb: fr i'm gonna take a nap
