loud wailing and whining filled the dark stoned walls. Asmodeus rubbed his eyes while getting up from bed.
he made his way around his cave like home. strolling along the dimly lit tunnel, he went into the kitchen. still half awake, he reached out and grabbed a live lizard from a cage inside. he made his way back to his room with Zagreus.
Zagreus was only a few months old, with impressive tiny horns that had already formed. too busy crying, he hadn't noticed his father trying to feed him the lizard. in due time however, he noticed and ate the lizard whole.
With Zagreus calmed down, Asmodeus helped begun his routine. he worked out next to Zagreus who curiously watched his father in a sweet expression.
Asmodeus ate his breakfast with little Zagreus who was surprisingly composed the whole time.
Asmodeus sighed deeply while throwing his back behind the chair, wondering about his life and choices.
Zagreus tilted his head, shook his hands on the table and stomped his legs on the chair he was barely standing on. His father reached out his hand and pinched his cheeks gently.
Asmodeus threw on a black jacket and zipped it up. he dressed up Zagreus and walked to the exit of his house. a big door with secure locks separated him and gehenna. he opened it with Zagreus in his other arm.
he took in the mighty breeze and extend his bright pink and white wings. the breeze blew his pale light brown hair back and he jumped off the massive pillar his house was carved into.
With Zagreus secured in his arms he jumped off. he dove head first and the land was far down, he calmly used his wings to break the fall and fly upwards. he flew around the sky, diving down and up all while entertaining Zagreus who was cheerfully giggling.
he dove again, this time all the way. he used his wings to break the fall and flew right through the pathways, skillfully evading people, only being a few meters from the ground. he rolled and took turns, and flapped his wings again and rose up to his feet and landed while sliding.
the marketplace around him was bustling and packed with internals. Asmodeus casually went to a food stall with Zagreus still in his arms.
"some chimera meat please, enough to keep us fed for the next week." he spoke
the succubus vendor smiled at Zagreus and back to Asmodeus
"anything for you" she whispered
she cut up some meat on the table behind her and wrapped them in gigantic leaves. with the meats wrapped in leaves, they were put into wrapped around with rope, used to carry the meat.
Asmodeus left the stall and went back home with the meat. back to his home, Asmodeus put Zagreus in his bed and seated himself in a desk and began to read a book.
after which, he promptly took a nap with Zagreus in his arms. they slept wonderfully together. Asmodeus had a lot on his mind, being a teenager with a son took a toll on him. his life was steered in a completely different direction with the birth of Zagreus.
45 minutes had passed and Asmodeus woke up, brushing his hair away. He looked around and saw a woman who was walking out the room with Zagreus.
"Z-Zagreus?" he called out
realization quickly set in and he jumped out "ZAGREUS"
the woman covered in black attire ran out and jumped off the door, turning her back to look at Asmodeus who jumped after them.
they fell through the foggy skies, a mist of fog covered the woman and Asmodeus lost sight.
Asmodeus fell through the mist and saw her flying away. seeing them, asmo flew after the girl. the chase lasted a few minutes when the woman landed outside Gehenna, next to a hut. Asmodeus pretended to lose them and followed from afar.
a worried asmodeus landed a few distance off and watched her enter with the baby. The woman's hood fell. silky brown hair waved with the wind as she entered.
a minute wasn't wasted when Asmodeus broke the door down and entered the 2 room hut.
2 Succubi and a demon looked at Asmodeus. Zagreus was in a birds cage above a fire.
"hey sweetie" chuckled the demon making a gesture for asmodeus to come closer
"kaira.." mumbled Asmodeus
"join us, we're having a wonderful feast, you can even join us in bed after" winked Kaira.
"no..." mumbled asmodeus, holding his anger back
"pardon?" she asked
"I said no. give him back"
"or else?"
Asmodeus approached them closer "I'll do whatever it takes to get him back"
"oh geez, drop the fatherly act Asmo. I know you want our baby gone as much as I do" she ranted
Asmodeus kept quiet and looked around for the key.
"looking for this?" Kaira slowly waved the key around and pushed it against her lips. She giggled and wrapped her forked tongue on the key and pulled it into her mouth. she looked up and swallowed it whole.
"such a wonderful appetizer"
Asmodeus clenched his fists, beginning to sweat. part of him wanted Zagreus gone. He wanted his old life back badly, a carefree life.
"come on Avatar of Lust Asmodeus, you can have everything you want back, just do as I always told you, get rid of the baby."
"pure demons taste so good" cried out one of the subbubi
Pearlescent lights slowly glowed out of his fists and he stared Kaira in the eye
"who do you think I am.. I'm his father and he's my fucking son. I'm never abandoning him. I'm not like you" yelled out the former avatar of lust with the pearlescent lights growing stronger. he shot it out at Kaira, the light zigzagged like lightning and struck her chest, breaking the huts wall as she was was knocked out.
the taller succubi attacked Asmodeus with her claws, cutting his cheek, Asmo retaliated with a quick kick on her ribs and pushing her back.
he spun around and punched the other in the face
"I'm not like you filth" he yelled out harder
Kaira shot a fireball at Zagreus out of nowhere. his father barely noticed in time and jumped, taking the hit.
Asmo fell, groaning in pain
"what's with you? how could you let a mere baby change you so much" spat Kaira
"the avatar of lust lived only for pleasure and desire!"
Asmodeus barely got up, his jacket was burnt off and his chest black with burn marks.
"I.. I'm not the avatar of lust. I'm his father" Asmodeus rushed her and tackled her down. he sat on her and relentlessly punched her face in. blood smeared his fists as he punched more and more, without a thought of stopping. suddenly his ear caught the crying of Zagreus and he stopped short.
He noticed Zagreus' feet black, being burnt away slowly. he quickly put out the fire and broke open the cage.
the two hugged firmly in a moment of silence.
"let's go home..." whispered Asmodeus slowly breaking into tears.
