TW: Mentions of death
(Third person)
The Daily Prophet was still talking about Voldemorts Death a year after Harry had defeated him. All eyes were on him and he didn't like it. He wanted to relax and live a normal life but he was Harry Potter and he never had one to begin with.
Teddy was being raised by his Grandmother, Andromeda, since Harry felt he was too young to to it himself. He visited Teddy once a week to learn how to properly take care of a baby and to get to know Teddy better. Andromeda somehow convinced Harry to go on a trip with Teddy and his friends to get away from all the attention he was getting.
"You need a break there's so much stress on your shoulders and you'd have more time with Teddy." She had insisted.
"Yes, okay! But where would I go? There is no place no one wouldn't want to talk to me!" Harry protested.
"Hmm.. well why don't you go to a Muggle city, in the states?" Andromeda suggested.
After lots of convincing and refusing Andromeda won in the end and thats how Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Teddy ended up in Muggle New York city.
"I believe that was my first time ever apperating that big of a distance!" Hermione exclaimed walking next to Ron on the crowded sidewalk.
Harry was holding a fourteen month old Teddy in his hands and people were occasionally giving the group curious stares. I guess it wasn't common to see someone holding a three month old baby that has vibrant green hair and adorable purple eyes in the Muggle world. 'I'll have to find a spell that'll make Teddy look like a normal baby to Muggles.' Harry thought to himself.
They eventually found someplace to stay that's had a nursery, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. It was a small apartment so it had a small living area attached to a small kitchen, all on the same floor.
"How are we supposed to have a vacation here?!" Ron complained.
"Well there's only two rooms so you and 'Mione have to share one together." Harry said walking to one of the rooms.
"All right then!" Ron smirked.
"Look who's not complaining anymore." Hermione teased, "Plus, we're not gonna stay in the apartment the whole time we're going to visit places!"
Excited now 'Mione got out a book of parks, restaurants, and others places she wanted to visit. "Look Ron! Let's go to the Statue of Liberty tomorrow!"
"Why would I wanna go look at a carved rock?"
Harry ignored their blabbering and picked on off the rooms for himself. He took his trunk out of his pocket and unshrunk it. He took Teddy's trunk out of other pocket and unshrunk that too.
Teddy was asleep so he walked to the nursery and put him in a small crib. After placing wards around Teddy he unpacked all the baby things.
He went to his room and unpacked all of his things, everything he packed was unpacked now so he went to close the trunk when something caught his eye.
Looking back Harrys eyes widened. Laying down in the middle of his trunk sat Harrys invisibility cloak, a stone and, believe it or not, the elder wand.
"RON! 'MIONE GET IN HERE!"
Wands out expecting danger Ron and Hermoine ran into Harrys room.
"What?!"
"Are you alright?!"
"Just look!"
Walking over to Harry they looked on his trunk. They both gasped realizing what there were looking at.
