I crumpled the letter that had arrived in the mail addressed to me with anger. No, this couldn’t be happening, there had to be some sort of mistake. Maybe they meant to send the letter to another Levinia Dooley, even though the chances of there being another Levinia Dooley in this city or in the world were slim. I tried to convince myself that it was a mistake, it had to be, but deep down I knew that this wasn’t a mistake; this letter was addressed to me.
