the Ghost In The Attic

the First event

The time was three thirty three a.m Jack was tossing and turning in his and Jill's bed,

"No, stop, I don't want this to happen, get the fuck off of me" Jack muttered as he threw his body around the bed chucking himself off it and landing on the floor waking himself up,

"fuck sake I thought that I had this under control, why is it playing up again and now?" Jack pondered as he stood up and looked at Jill who was asleep soundly in bed still,

*sigh*

"Thank fuck that she's okay and still asleep" He said to himself as he sat on the edge of the bed picking up his bottle of lucozade to take his sleeping tablet to ease him back to sleep for another two hour's,

as Jack laid there next to Jill who rolled over and snuggled into Jack putting her delicate head onto his warm chest "I love you Jack" she said to him with her gorgeous smile on her face as she placed her gental abd reasuringly soft left hand on the right hand side of his chest,

"I love you too Jill" He responded as he kissed the top of her head and wrapped his left arm around her fragile body before closing his eye's and drifting back off to sleep hoping to get a few hours kip,

*THUD!*

"JILL! JACK!" Lilly screamed as she bolted into their room in tears,

"The bad man from the attic just threw a box at my door" Lilly cried frantically,

"It's okay Lilly, it was probably just one of your Night terror's again" Jill said as she looked at Jack,

"Right Lilly get into our bed and I'll go check your room okay sweetheart?" Jack said generally as he got out of bed again,

"okay Jack" Lilly said still crying but hugging into Jill who tried to calm her and reassure her as best as she could,

Jack walked into Lilly's room and searched it completely,

he looked under Lilly's bed first searching to make sure that nothing had fallen underneath it which could have triggered Lilly's night terror before he eventually walked over to her walk in cupboard and slid the door's open and searched it to make sure that nothing had fallen in there,

"something doesn't feel right" He said grabbing his head as it started thumping like it once did when he lived in a small town called march,

"fuck it hasn't been this bad since march when I was 14 man" Jack said in pain but holding it back as he did not want Jill to worry or send him to the doctor's again,

Jack took one more glance around Lilly's room picking up a box that was behind Lilly's white open door,

"huh that's strange" Jack said to himself as he picked up this mysterious box that was still closed and incredibly heavy,

"this isn't one of our boxes, how'd it get in here?" Jack questioned taking the box into his room,

Jack placed the box down and climbed into the bed,

"you ready to get some sleep now sweetheart?" Jack asked Lilly as her and Jill laid back down and snuggled up into Jack,

Jack eventually fell back asleep and woke up at seven thirty four due to the feeling of being watched Jack carefully got out of the bed and tried not to wake Jill and Lilly up as it was their first full day in this new home, 

Jack picked up the box and took it into the hallway where he peered up at the attics door,

"huh that's not how it was yesterday" Jack said observing the door being open by a slight little bit,

"that's annoying but I have to put this box up there and call a skip hire and clean out the attic today anyway's" Jack said as he grabbed the tall step ladder pushing the door open,

Jack looked around and saw a pull string connected to a light and decided to see if it was working,

Jack pulled the string and the light flickered on and off as if it was needing a replacement bulb,

"you can sit here for now" Jack said before falling backward's in a manner that had felt like he had been kicked down the ladder,

"Fuck" Jack exclaimed as he landed on the solid hard oak wood floor with a creamy carpeted finish on the very same landing that he had just landed on,

slowly and in agonising pain Jack slowly stood himself up and headed down the stair's to the Ilaminated kitchen to prepare Jill's medication and Jill's and Lilly's breakfast and breakfast drink,

"They both like milkshakes" Jack said to himself in a reminding fassion, as he looked at the time on his phone,

"where the hell did 2 hours and thirty minutes go?" Jack said to himself in complete and utter shock unaware that he had been knocked out for that long due to the fall and the time was 10:39,

"that fall must have knocked me out because I really dont black out for that long unless I get really stressed out which is rare" Jack said to himself as he took his own medication before shouting on Lilly,

"Lilly breakfast!" Jack shouted informing Lilly of her morning food being ready for her to eat,

Lilly came running down the stair's and into the kitchen and grabbed her cereal and milkshake,

"Okay Lilly enjoy your coco pop's and the telly is on and ready to be watched, the remote is on the arm of the sofa so pick on anything you want to watch and frozen isn't on perental controls" Jack said informing Lilly 

"okay Jack" Lilly said as she careful carried her food and drink through to the front room,

Jack took out all of Jill's medication and carried everything up to her,

"here you go baby" Jack said as he placed everything next to Jill's side of the bed as he gentally woke her up,

"Thank you baby" Jill said as she sat up and ate before taking her medication,

"How's Lilly?" She asked jack in a concerned manner,

"She's okay she's watching frozen and eating cereal happily so I think she accepted it being one of her night terrors" Jack answered Jill
