I close my eyes and press my back against the piano, listening to the music while I grip a paint brush in one hand and drilling my nails into the grand piano with the other hand.
I open one eye to look at my friend Addie that sits at the grand piano. She stands up and hides her face with her hands, sobbing, "leave him for me."
I sigh deeply, I would be better off with her instead, but it's hard to think of my life without him, I mean he just purposed to me three days ago and I turned him down, I'm surprised he's even still talking to me.
"Adam is no good for you," she pleads. "All he does is drugs and drinks, please Mark."
I groan slightly and roll my eyes, "don't talk about him like that."
She kisses me, taking me by surprise, "please."
2 weeks before...
I wake up next to the black haired guy, doing something on his phone while laying on his back.
"Whatcha doin'?" I wonder.
"Stuff," he says putting his phone down.
My phone starts going off and I answer it to get a crying mother, "where are you?"
"At a friend's, I'll be home soon," I say, ignoring Adam tugging at my tank top to give him attention. "I gotta go mom." I quickly hang up the phone and giving Adam a kiss, standing up.
He tosses me a bottle of pills and points to a half empty bottle of vodka on the dresser. I take one of the pills and wash it down with vodka.
"I have to go," I say, giving him one last kiss and then leaving.
For the rest of the day I'm shaky and going crazy, what did he give me?! Whatever it is, I like it. I end up painting three paintings, playing the piano, and hanging out with my best friend, Addie.
Addie is the only one that knows I'm gay and with Adam, she's really good at keeping secrets so i trust her.
See, I met Adam at an art show a few months back and ever since then, me and the black haired boy have been closer then ever.
"So, Mark," asks Addie as I rub my eyes, I'm seeing two of everything.
"Yeah?" I ask blinking over and over again.
"What did he give you this time?" She wonders.
"I dont even know," I reply, standing up from the piano.
My mom and dad come in and cross their arms at me, "you haven't picked up any of your stuff yet."
"I'm gay!" I blurt out, quickly covering my mouth, wanting to take it back.
They both shocked, I run past them and walk down the road to Adam's apartment building.
I run into his apartment, tears rolling down my cheeks, "I told them I'm gay."
