Se-ri checked to make sure that everything was in place. Mood lighting - check. Sketchpad and pencils - check. Se-ri - check.
Jeong Hyeok should be walking through the door soon. It was their second wedding anniversary and she made sure that they would have some intimate celebration. Se-ri did not doubt that they loved each other deeply but lately their bedroom activities had significantly decreased and it worried her.
She expected that things would change, of course. A couple can't keep going at it like newlyweds forever, right? But two years? They already were having a dry spell after two years of marriage?
They were good friends first and then shifted to lovers and newlyweds quickly. It was hot and heavy for that first part of their marriage.
From that first day as man and wife, Jeong Hyeok could not keep his hands off her and she him. One of them was always initiating contact and it didn't matter what time of day it was, it was going to happen. As their life together settled, intimacies lessened but it was still quite regular.
For their six month wedding celebration, Jeong Hyeok booked them a weekend stay at a hotel in Jeju where they did nothing but make love. With one time, even being so risky that they were doing it in the private pool where anyone could just walk in on them.
But now, with their businesses and other life responsibilities, things don't happen as regularly. Se-ri did not even think of it until a recent get together with her friends to congratulate and celebrate a newly engaged member of their group.
"Congratulations, Yoona! You'll love married life!" Se-ri said.
"She'll love the unlimited sex!" Another commented making the two women blush.
"Hey, Hae Soo!" Se-ri reprimanded. "Don't shock her."
"What?! It's the best part!" Hae Soo shot back.
"Okay I admit it's pretty fantastic but it's not the BEST," Se-ri said.
"Says the woman who ditched us midway through dinner one night because her husband gave her a booty call," Hae Soo teased.
Se-ri blushed.
Hae Soo continued. "Sorry, I have to go. Jeong Hyeok has a stomach ache," she said, pretending to be Se-ri which made everyone giggle. In her normal voice, Hae Soo said, "I bet the ache was much lower than his stomach."
Se-ri shushed her. "Hey. Leave my husband alone."
"It wasn't a stomach ache, wasn't it?" Hae Soo pressed.
Se-ri slowly shook her head. "I... regret nothing."
That conversation made her realize that they hadn't had moments like that for awhile now. They still made love. More importantly, she was grateful that she did not doubt their love for one second. She just wondered if their bedroom activities were boring now and if that bothered Jeong Hyeok?
