Hello, welcome, and thank you for choosing to read this story. This short story collection, based in the world of Horizon Zero Dawn, entwines the lives of a number of characters. This includes the early life of Rost, Nil, Erend and others prior to the events of the game. You do not need to have played the game to enjoy it, but for those who have, it will add some colour and content to fans of the game.
I have spent months studying and understanding the lore, to ensure this collection follows canon as closely as possible with all available information from game designers and corrected wiki's. It is of course, my interpretation, but I have remained loyal to the topography of the world, towns and village layouts, and character personalities throughout.
