By the time he returned to his hometown to bring the reader with him, she was no longer present in the hometown and it was a deserted place.
He is currently the Shadow Hashira, aged 21.
The reader was forced to live alone and eventually had to evacuate from their hometown. But she was blind after the attack of the demons hence she needed a whole lot of help to get through and eventually managed to make it to another town that she wasn't familiar with.
Where her older brother continues to look for her, praying for her safety.
A/N: I'm using my OC, Akane Haizaki, for this because he is an older brother in the first place. Or if you want Haizaki to still be your older brother, that is fine. You may use other OCs to replace the older brother.

She always wondered,
if the moon was lovely tonight. She let out a sigh as she reached out, trying to figure out where her last stalk of the flower was. Remembering clearly she had 15 stalks left, and currently being held by her arms were only 14. She hummed a soft tune to herself as her lips curled up into a smile when she managed to find it, where it laid by the right side of her.
"There we go!" she spoke out with a smile as she skillfully tied up the stalks together after feeling for the string that was resting at her feet. She could hear the sounds of carts being pulled out, an indication that the night had arrived.
"I guess I didn't make much today," she whispered out as she felt the shillings in the palm of her hands, but her smile didn't falter as she kept them safely in her pocket. Not realizing how there were those who looked at her.
Watching her with a pitiful gaze.
"She is so young to be out on her own," some of them whispered, but she shook her head after listening to them over and over again. She could only wait patiently as she believes the day that her older brother would come and get her will come closer.
"It's okay, it's okay," she whispered to herself as she started to walk through the streets. Being all familiarized with her surroundings ever since she moved into this town. How she remembered the kind old lady who had passed away not too long ago, allowed her to stay in her humble home that was up the hill.
Where hardly anybody would come by, which she was thankful for as she didn't want anybody to giving her the pitiful gaze that she could always feel from the back of her head.
Usually, the night will be silent and calm. She wouldn't have trouble reaching home and burning wisteria incense by herself. But it seems tonight, was a different case as she could hear from her surroundings.
The sound of demons coming closer to her. How they were growling, the way they eyed her, she could feel them all as she halted in her steps. Clutching the flowers tightly against her chest as she tried to remain calm.
She shut her eyes despite being blind, as she could hear the demons moving. But what caught her attention, was how the sound of a blade was being unsheathed, and she opened her eyed despite seeing nothing but darkness.
Her blind eyes widened a little when she could hear the sound of blood splattering and the scent of blood waft through the cold air where she could easily identify where the pool of blood was as she turned her head towards the direction.
But unknowingly to her, a demon stood next to her. She blinked her eyes a few times as she reached out, trying to find her saviour and soon found the body. Where her lips curled up into a soft smile.
"Is the moon lovely tonight?" she asked, and his eyes widened slightly at her question as he tilts his head up to look at the moon.
"It is beautiful," he answered, noticing how her lips continued to remain curled up into a smile.
"May I have your name? I would like to thank you properly for saving me," she spoke out and the demon wondered, why he didn't want to kill the woman before him. His lips parted as he listened to what she had asked and stated the reason.
"Kokushibo," he answered.
"That's a nice name, Kokushibo-san. I'm Akane [name], but you can just call me [name]. A pleasure to meet you on such a cold night," she spoke out with a smile as she turned towards where his body was.
And his eyes widened when he realized she was blind as she was reaching out once more, trying to find where he was standing. He reached out, his large hand grabbing hold of her smaller one, and he watched as she smiled.
"A pleasure to meet you too," he spoke out, surprising himself as well.
And the moon was far more beautiful,
than every other night as he held her hand in his.◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤◢◤
