chapter 1: I hate cheaters.

i woke up to a quiet *ping* from my ipod dock, then it started blasting "locked out of heaven" by bruno mars. I rolled over and screamed into my pillow. i took a deep breath, and lifted myself up off my pillow.   The depressing sight of smeard mascara and make-up all over the pillow reminded me of what my life had come to.

"shit."

i didnt want to get up and face it but i knew i had to. I rolled out of my bed hitting the floor with a loud thud.

"Owwwww...." i said rubbing my head.

i stood up and looked in my full length mirrior. good lord, i looked like i had been left outside with no shower for a week and had mascara all over my cheeks. my hair was knotted up and dirty. as soon as i saw what i looked like, i made the decision that this disaster wasnt gonna get me down. i was gonna look my fricking best, and not care what anyone thought. i took a long shower and tried not to think about him. I got out and realized i was going to have to change the playlist on my ipod. it was playing the playlist that i had made a long time ago when me and him were first dating. now it was playing "fall for you" by Secondhand Serinade. i walked over to my dock and scrolled through my playlists and found my happy morning playlist. i pressed shuffel and was happy to see that the first song it played was "keep your head up" by andy grammar.

"yo! Ari! hows it rollen girl!" my neighbor Jack leaned out his window and yelled to me.

I realized i was still wearing a towel. i leaned out my window, brushed my long light pink hair back, and said "hang on imma get dressed, and put my make-up on, breakfast is on me!" i closed my blinds and ran over to my closet. i grabbed the most curvy sexy dress i could find and slipped it on. i ran into my kitchen and grabbed two cliff bars. i ran back to my room and opened my curtains. his jaw dropped when he saw what i was wearing.

"jeez are you expecting cocktails at this hour in the morning???" i laughed and explained why i was wearing it.

"if i see him maybe he will regret cheating on me"  i tossed him a cliff bar and he caught it at the end of its perfect arc.

"i know i would" he said still staring.

"yo. my eyes are up here mister!"

he stopped droolong and snapped out of it.

"sorry.... but ive never seen you wear anything like this... your body is perfect..."

i laughed. "not even close hon. but thank you." our flats were really cool because all the buildings in our area of london were really close together, and we both lived on the top floors of the two buildings with no one under us. The owner of our buildings said we could play our music as loud as we wanted, and we really took advantage of that. well, i did. he didnt play music very often because i played it so much, he could just listen to whatever i was listening too. i mean, i DID have the better sound system...

he inhaled deeply. "you smell amazing Ari." he smiled.

i gasped dramaticly. "you can SMELL me from all the way over THERE?!"

"yeah all two feet of space." he said sarcasticly.

i closed my eyes and sat sideways on the window edge. i loved the smell of london air in the morning. then my dumb brain reminded me that i needed to get to school. i mentally cussed mondays out and looked over at jack, he looked right back and we mentally agreed that we would race to his car. he narrowed his eyes and smirked. we both knew that he would win, like every day. his buildings elevator worked. mine didnt. our rules were that if you took the stairs, you couldent take off your shoes and my stairs were slick, not well lit up, and LONG. seeing that i wore vans alot, i didnt have good tread. but today i was wearing heels so there was no way i could beat him. he held up three fingers and put them down one by one. "GO!!!" i yelled. we slammed our windows closed and started running. when i was running/limping tword the stairwell, i got a genious idea. my dress was really slick... i could slide down the railing! i slid down all 20 rails and ran past morton, the security guy for my building. he was like my dad he was so sweet and helpful to me. he saw the blur of pink hair and yelled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARIANNA!"  oh yeah. today was my birthday. i saw Jacks car parked on the street and realized he didnt beat me! i ran the rest of the way and touched the black Mustang Fastback. i looked around. he was nowhere to be found! i walk up to the door of his building and looked in. i saw him tripping down the stairs holding a cheesecake. i ran up to him and helped him the rest of the way down. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" he yelled. i smiled really big.  i took the cheesecake out of his arms and set on the ground. he grabbed my up into a hug and i hugged him right back.

"thank you." i whispered. he hugged me tighter.
