Jess's pov
1 week later ..
Carl and i lost rick and this lady named michone ..
They told us to run because dangerous people were in the house .
So being obedient young kids , we did as we were told and ran .
We walked on the train tracks and stopped at a sign .
"Terminus .. Safe for all , food , and great hospitality ." Carl read aloud .
"Lets follow the train tracks , we can live and survive with the people at terminus ."
He said .
"Alright , if we're lucky rick might be there." I said .
We proceeded on the tracks and heard footsteps . Carl grabbed my hand and we hid in the bushes.
"HEY SHUT YOUR MOUTH SHANNON, IM TRYING TO KEEP US SAFE! " a man yelled.
"SHUT UP ANDY , AND IF THATS THE CASE YOU ARENT DOING GOOD AT IT. WE LOST FIVE PEOPLE . ALREADY WE ONLY HAVE TEN NOW ." The lady shouted .
I turned and saw a walker behind us .
"Crap. " i said . I got up but tripped on my sweatpants and grabbed carl then we both fell out the bushes and rolled down the slope . The walker slid down seconds after and its head popped off. Well then ..
The people aimed guns at us .
"Wait wait wait , hold on a second ." I said while carl and i had our hands up backing away .
"Stop . " the andy guy shouted .
Cal and i froze and and he was walking towards us .
"Andy , leave them alone . They can join us or they can head where ever they need to . They're just kids . They probably dont have any idea how to handle anything." Another woman said .
The guy walked close to me and pushed me . I fell over the dead walker body and the guy walked away .
Carl ran to my side and helped me up .
"Are you okay ?" He asked me .
"Fine , we should get going . This place probably isnt far .." I said giving a weak smile .
"You kids only have eachother ?" Im guessing shannon said .
"For now ." Carl said grabbing my hand.
We walked away at the fastest pace and continued our journey to terminus .
We got pretty far in almost thirty minutes .
I kept thinking to myself .
Carl grabbed my hand ..
Us for now..
All we have for a while is eachother..
During the walk i caught carl staring at me a few times .
I looked up once more to see carl staring at me once more but making a silly face .
I laughed and he smiled a huge smile. Its like seeing a rainbow right in front of your face .
"You know jess , thats the first time ive heard someone laugh in a long time.. Your laugh is beautiful." He said . I smiled and looked at him .
He grabbed my hand looked at the ground smiling .

Night time falls and we keep moving .
We climb a tree and hide ourselves .
"Michone , we need to find the kids . " .. RICK !?
"Carl is a smart kid i know it rick , we will find him and he will find us . And for the girl , she seems very smart . They will find us rick. Have hope." She spoke .
Carl looked at me and hopped out the tree . He ran into his fathers arms and they exchanged a long loving hug .
I started tearing up.
I wiped my eyes and watched them .
"Jess , come down."
I dropped off the tree and bumped into carl .
"Oy , sorry ." I said .
I took a look at rick and he engulfed me into a hug .
I teared up too .
"You guys rest , michone and i will take watch ." Rick said .
Carl and i lied down and fell asleep in a matter of seconds . Arms on waist hands on chest , what could be best .
